The Ultimate FollowLiker Instagram Tutorial

Instagram, with more than 30 billion images shared and 300 million monthly active users, generates an average of 70 million photos daily. The mobile-based photo and video sharing social network has grown into one of the biggest social networks. Compared to other networks, Instagram has the highest engagement rate which gives people and brands more exposure.

FollowLiker is a powerful, reliable and flexible multi-purpose software that makes it easy to automate your social media tasks. In this particular post, I’m going to explain you how FollowLiker Instagram works and how to set it up properly along with some other tips and tricks I have learned by using it.

Before we begin, I’d like to mention that FollowLiker Instagram is NOT a free software, therefore you have to purchase it. No worries though, it’s very cheap and affordable. You can buy it from the link below if you don’t have it already.

Visit FollowLiker Website

After you buy FollowLiker Instagram, you will receive an e-mail address containing the download link for it and your license details which they automatically generate. Except for installing the software, your license details are also required to read the FollowLiker’s user guide.

FollowLiker Email

I have already purchased FollowLiker Instagram, therefore I can’t show you step by step installation guide, but it should be self-explanatory. Anyone who has installed any program before will know how to set it up. If you still have any problems, feel free to contact me or post in the comments.

After you are done installing, FollowLiker Instagram will create a shortcut on your Desktop. From there you can open FollowLiker.

FollowLiker Instagram Icon

Once you have installed it, it’s time to open it. FollowLiker will always check for new updates when you open the software. If there are new updates, it will notify you so you can update FollowLiker.

FollowLiker Update Notification

After it’s done checking for updates, it will finally launch FollowLiker, which looks something like this.

FollowLiker Instagram Main Screen

Now that you have installed and launched FollowLiker, you are ready to follow the the tutorial. I’m going to explain each and every setting that FollowLiker Instagram has.

FollowLiker Graphical User Interface (GUI)

The graphical user interface of FollowLiker is pretty simple and easy to use once you understand how FollowLiker works. I’ll start this tutorial off explaining the graphical user interface of FollowLiker.

FollowLiker Title

The title of FollowLiker consists of the name of the program, its version (that you have installed), its edition (Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr or Twitter) and the current project we have loaded (if any).

FollowLiker Title(This is how the title looks without any project loaded)

FollowLiker Project Title(This is how the title looks with a project called “ProjectName” loaded)

FollowLiker Menu

The menu of FollowLiker contains 4 elements. They are “File”, “Tools”, “Theme” and “Help”.

FollowLiker Menu

If you hover over each of them, a new sub-menu will show containing different functions. I will explain what each of them does in short, but as we go with the tutorial, I’ll explain them more in-depth.

FollowLiker File Menu(sub-menu of “File”)

New Project…” is used to create a new project.
Load Project…” is used to load an existing project.
General…” is used to set up the global settings, which apply to all the accounts.
Clear…” is used to clear(remove) various data such as proxies, session data, scraped users/photos and more.
Delete Project…” is used to delete the currently loaded project.
Minimize to tray…” is used if you want to minimize FollowLiker to run in tray rather than in the taskbar.
Exit…” will close FollowLiker.

FollowLiker Tools Menu(sub-menu of “Tools”)

Proxy Manager…” is used to add/manage your proxies if you don’t want to use them for specific accounts. I wouldn’t recommend this option.
“Activity Log…”
is used to monitor what each of your account is doing currently (and in the past few minutes).

FollowLiker Theme Menu(sub-menu of “Theme”)

On this sub-menu we can choose a color and the whole program will be re-designed in that specific color.

FollowLiker Help Menu(sub-menu of “Help”)

User Guide…” will load the FollowLiker’s user guide in your browser. It requires to log in with your account to be able to view it.
Website…” will load FollowLiker’s official website.
Optimize Data…” will optimize the storage files that FollowLiker uses to do the work for your accounts.
Share on Social Media” will open a link which asks for permission to share FollowLiker on your social media profile.
About…” will show you the version of FollowLiker that you have installed.

FollowLiker Status Bar

The status bar of FollowLiker shows you what the program is currently doing and how many accounts are finished. It’s not very useful, compared to the ‘Activity Log’. But someone might find it helpful.

FollowLiker Status Bar(Status bar without any projects running)

FollowLiker Status Bar Running
(Status bar with running multiple projects)

FollowLiker Accounts Table

The Accounts Table shows you all the accounts in the current project and various information about them.

FollowLiker Accounts Table

Username” column displays the username of the account you will later on add in the project.
Password” always display asterisks instead of the actual password. FollowLiker is not saving the passwords in plain text, which is a very good security feature.
Proxy” shows the associated proxy with the specified account. If there isn’t any, it shows “N/A“.
Media” shows the total amount of uploaded pictures on the specified account.
Following” shows the amount of users the specified account is following.
Followers” shows the amount of users that follow the specified account.
Authorized” tells you whether the specified account has authorized the FollowLiker application or not. This used to be required before, but not anymore. So don’t worry if it says “N/A“, FollowLiker will still do its job.
Health” shows the current health of the specified account. If everything is okay with it, FollowLiker will show “OK“.
Status” shows the current status of the specified account. If everything is okay, FollowLiker will show “OK“. If there’s something wrong, the text will change to something else (depending on the problem). For example, if your account is stuck on phone verification, the “Status” tab will show “PHONE“.
Custom Settings” shows whether the specified account is using custom settings. If it is, then it will say “Y“, otherwise if it uses Global Settings, it will show “N“.
Added” shows the date and time the specified account was added on FollowLiker.

FollowLiker Users Table Settings

If you right click inside the white space (users table), a new window will show with different options. Here you can manage your accounts and their settings.

New…” will prompt a new windows to add an account.
Edit…” will prompt a new window to change your username, password or proxy of the selected account.
Delete…” will delete the selected account (there is a confirmation before).
Delete All…” will delete all the accounts in the current project (there is a confirmation before).
Sort…” will sort the users table by a specific value.
Import…” will load previously exported accounts and their settings.
Export…” will export all the accounts and data.
Statistics…” will show the statistics of the selected account.
Activity Log…” will show the activity log. If there is an account selected, it will show the activity log only for that account, otherwise it will show the global activity log.
Pause…” will pause the selected account and FollowLiker won’t do anything on that account.
Resume…” will resume the selected account and FollowLiker will continue doing its tasks.
Custom Settings…” is used to set up the selected account’s settings, which is explained later on in the tutorial.

Creating A New Project

Before you do anything else on FollowLiker, you first have to create a project, where your data (accounts, settings and other) will be stored, so when you close FollowLiker, you can load the project and continue where you stopped.

To create a new project, go to “File” > “New Project…“.

FollowLiker New Project

A new window will open, write the name of your project and save it as *.flk file. Also make sure that you have checked “Each account should have separate settings” so that you can use different settings for each account.

FollowLiker Project Name

After you click “Save”, FollowLiker will proceed to creating the project. Wait a couple of seconds until it’s finished.

FollowLiker Project Creation

After the project has been created, it will automatically load the project as well. The FollowLiker Title will change including the name of the loaded project.

FollowLiker Title

Adding Your Account(s) On FollowLiker

To add a new account on your FollowLiker project, right click on the Accounts Table and select “New…“.

FollowLiker New Account

A new window will appear, asking for the details of your account. The details include username and password of your account, as well a proxy. Using a proxy is optional and not required. I recommend using a proxy only if you change your location often and if you manage multiple accounts.

FollowLiker New Account

After you have added your account, FollowLiker will look like this:

FollowLiker Added Account

Setting Up General Settings

General settings are settings which apply globally to all the accounts in the project. To open the general settings, go to “File” > “General…” > “Settings…“.

FollowLiker General Settings

After you click “Settings…” a new window will open.

FollowLiker General Settings General Tab

Account Per Proxy” means how many accounts will be used per proxy. I personally have this limit set to 3.
Account Threads” means how many accounts will be running simultaneously. For example, if you have 30 accounts and want every one of them to run at the same time, you have to set this limit to 30.
Automation Interval” is the delay between tasks. There are many tasks throughout the day and this determines the delay between them.
Enable continuous automation” will ensure that FollowLiker runs continuously and allows us to choose the “Automation Time” for each account. I highly recommend this to be enabled.

The “Automation Interval” of 4-6 minutes is a little bit slow in my opinion, I personally recommend 2-3 or 2-4 minutes.

After setting up the settings, you final settings should be looking like this:

FollowLiker General Settings Final

Moving on to the second tab “Captcha“, we can see 3 options.

FollowLiker General Settings Captcha

Disabled” will disable captcha system and will neither show you or solve any captcha. This is VERY BAD and I do NOT recommend this.
Manual” will show you the captcha (if there is any) and wait for you to solve it before doing anything else.
Remote” will solve the captcha automatically and keep working.

I recommend either “Manual” or “Remote“. Since I don’t monitor my server 24/7, I personally use “Remote” with “DeathByCaptcha” service. You could use either, “De-Captcher” or “DeathByCaptcha“. They’re both very similar.

To use a remote service, you have to choose “Remote” in the “Captcha” settings and then navigate to the tab of the service and enter your details (username and password) and click “Test“. If it returns that everything is good, click “Save” and you’re finished.

Setting Up FollowLiker Settings

Once you have added your account, you have to set up the settings on that particular account. That means, you have to ‘tell’ FollowLiker what it should be doing, whether it’s following, liking, commenting or any other task.

To set up the settings of an account, right click on the specified account you want to set up and go to “Custom Settings…” > “Wizard…“.

FollowLiker Custom Settings Wizard

Wizard…” will show us the configuration wizard, where we can edit the settings of the selected account.
Copy to other account(s)…” will replace the settings of all the accounts in the current project with the ones that the selected account is using. It will also append the data to each project and keep the previous data. This function does not apply to paused accounts.
Replace on other account(s)…” will replace both the settings and the data of all the accounts in the current project with the ones that the selected account is using. This function does not apply to paused accounts.

TIP: If you want to change the settings of all your accounts, you can do that by creating a new ‘fake’ account, setting up the settings for it and then using the “Copy to other account(s)…” function. That way, it will replace the settings on all the accounts, while keeping all the data the same as before.

After you open the “Wizard…“, FollowLiker will prompt a new window, which is where we set up the settings of the accounts.

FollowLiker Settings Wizard

Scrape User” will start the process of scraping users (which will be used to follow by FollowLiker) based on the user-search queries provided by you.
Scrape Photo” will start the process of scraping photos (which will be used to like/comment by FollowLiker) based on the photo-search queries provided by you.
Follow” will start the process of following (scraped) users.
Unfollow” will start the process of unfollowing previously followed users.
Share Photo” will start the process of sharing/uploading pictures.
Like” will start the process of liking (scraped) photos.
Unlike” will start the process of unliking previously liked photos.
Comment” will start the process of commenting to (scraped) photos.
DM” will start the process of sending direct message(s).
Shuffle tasks” will ensure that tasks (following, liking, commenting and others) will be done in a random order.
Retrieve existing followers and followings” will scrape your existing followers and followings, which will be later on used for unfollowing and direct messaging. (Note: FollowLiker will automatically resume where it stopped last time, so you don’t have to increase the number in the field beside it.)
Show Advanced Options” will show you the advanced options while setting up your account(s). I recommend using this setting.

Following Users

To follow users, we have to check the “Follow” and “Scrape Users” boxes. “Scrape Users” function will find users which the “Follow” function will follow.

Check the “Show advanced options” box as well, because it has useful settings in there, which you can’t see normally. After you’re done press “Next“.

FollowLiker Follow Process

On the next screen, you can see all the data about the specified account that FollowLiker has stored. This page is a part of the advanced options, which you normally can’t see.

FollowLiker Account Data

Followers” will show you a list of people who are following the selected account.
Followings” will show you a list of people whom the selected account is following.
Scraped Users” will show you a list of people which FollowLiker has scraped (which will be used to follow).
Scraped Photos” will show you a list of photos which FollowLiker has scraped (which will be used for liking/commenting).
Blacklist” will show you a list of blacklisted users. Blacklisted users will be ignored and skipped while doing task (following, liking or commenting).
Whitelist” will show you a list of whitelisted users. Whitelisted users will be skipped while unfollowing (they won’t be unfollowed).
Liked Photos” will show you a list of photos which FollowLiker has liked with the selected account.

There isn’t much to do in this part, so if you would like to view some of the data, you can do it here, otherwise click “Next” to continue.

FollowLiker Scrape User Settings

Before we set up the settings for following, we have to set up the scraping settings, so FollowLiker can scrape users to follow.

Scrape User Limit” is the amount of users FollowLiker will scrape per each task. I always have this number set between 40 and 120. The reason for not setting up high number is simply because FollowLiker runs multiple tasks within the day, so it will never run out of users to follow.
Scrape only top result” will ensure that FollowLiker only scrapes users on the top of the search queries. Using this option may limit the amount users scraped. I recommend using this setting if you are scraping your users based on hashtags. If you are scraping based on other user’s followers or users who liked/commented a specific photo, then you don’t need to use this.
Ignore private users” will ensure that no private users are scraped or followed. I use this setting for all of my projects.
Ignore users with no profile picture” will ensure that users with no profile picture will not be scraped or followed. I use this setting for my project as well.

After you are done setting up the basic scraping settings, it’s time to add queries which FollowLiker will use to look for new users to scrape. There are many type of queries you can use with FollowLiker, but not all of them are efficient or worth doing.

To add a new query for scraping, right click anywhere on the white box and click “New“.

FollowLiker Scrape User Queries

New…” will prompt a window to add a new query for scraping.
Edit…” will prompt a window to edit the selected query.
Delete…” will delete the selected query.
Delete All…” will delete all the queries.
Sort…” will sort the queries based on what you want.
Import…” will import previously exported queries to the list.
Export…” will export all the queries in the list for later use.
Copy properties to other queries…” will copy the the properties of the selected query to the other queries.

After we have clicked “New“, a window will prompt to add a new query.

FollowLiker Scrape User Query Types

Query Type” is the type of query FollowLiker will use to scrape for users.
Query” is the value that FollowLiker will use for the specified “Query Type” above.

Example: If our “Query” value is “#followliker” and our “Query Type” is “Users Who Tagged“, it will scrape users who has tagged “#followliker“.

There are several query types, as I have mentioned above. Not all of them are efficient for scraping users, therefore I will explain each of them.

FollowLiker Scrape Users Query Types

Users Who Tagged” will find users who posted a photo that has a particular word or tag in its caption. To use this query type, write the particular word or tag you want FollowLiker to search for in the “Query” value.
User’s Follower” will follow a specific user’s followers. Enter the username whose followers you want to follow in “Query” value.
Normal Search” will find users whose profile or username contains a particular word or tag. To use this query type, enter the particular word or tag you want FollowLiker to search in the “Query” value.
Location” will find users by location. To use this query type, enter the name of the location, city or country in the “Query” value. (Example: New York, United States)
User’s Following” will find users whom a specified user is following. Enter the username of the user whose followings you want to scrape in the “Query” value.
Users Who Liked” will find users who have liked a specific photo. To use this query, enter the URL of the photo or the ID of the photo in the “Query” value.
Users Who Commented” will find users who have commented a specific photo. To use this query, enter the URL of the photo or the ID of the photo in the “Query” value.

I have tried all of the query types in FollowLiker and I have had the best results with “Users Who Liked” and “Users Who Commented“. However, recently Instagram introduced a new limit which allows you to only see up to 120 users maximum, therefore you will have to regularly update the queries if you want to use these query types.

The second best result for me was “User’s Follower“. The reason following other people’s followers has good follow-back rate is because Instagram sorts the followers from newest to latest. So when a new user follows an account he will be on the top of the list of followers. That means we will be following active people.

Location” is useful query type if you are targeting a specific country, city or area. However, the results may be limited using this query type.

And lastly, using particular word or tag has the worst results for me. I haven’t done a lot testing with it, but when I used it, I didn’t have good results. However, don’t exclude this from the list, because I’ve seen a lot of people having success with it.

The best way to find out what works out well for you is by doing a split test. Set up different query types and monitor your account to see how it performs. If a specific query does not do well, try another one, until you find the best one.

After you have finished adding your queries, press “Next” to go the next page.

FollowLiker Scrape User Settings Finished

The next page is where we configure our following settings. When you open the page for the first time, it looks like this by default.

FollowLiker Follow Settings Default

Follower to Following Ratio” will ensure that your follower count is bigger than the following count. I have mine set to 0.00 on all of my projects and I also recommend you do the same.
Follow Limit” is the amount of users that will be followed per each follow task. Basically, this will break-up the “Daily Follow Limit” into small bits, spread throughout the day.
Daily Follow Limit” is the amount of users that FollowLiker will follow every day.
Delay Follow” is the delay between each user is followed in the “Follow Limit”.
Follow users who posted (days ago)” will ensure that only users who have posted within the specified number of days will be followed. (Example: 0-1 will ensure that only users who have posted today or yesterday will be followed)
Follow users who have (followers)” will ensure that only users within a specific range of followers are followed.
Follow users who have (followings)” will ensure that only users within a specific range of followings are followed.
Ignore private user” will ensure that private users won’t be followed.

Before I explain which settings I use and why, I’d like to explain how the following process of Follow Liker works. First of all, FollowLiker will scrape users as we have described in the tutorial previously. After it scrapes users, it will start following them.

FollowLiker runs multiple tasks throughout the day. So, if we have “Follow Limit” task set to 10-20, it will follow 10-20 users, and between each follow, there is a delay which we specify in “Delay Follow”. After it finishes this task, the account will be paused (FollowLiker won’t do any tasks in meanwhile) for specific amount of time, depending how much you have set your ‘Automation Interval’ in the global settings.

After the time is finished, FollowLiker will start another task, depending on the settings of your account. If are doing only following, in that case it will follow another 10-20 users (based on “Follow Limit”) and after it’s done, it will paused again for specific amount of time. This will keep going until the “Daily Follow Limit” is reached. If that limit is reached, FollowLiker will not follow any more users until the next day. If you have other tasks beside following, then FollowLiker will rotate through each of them.

My settings are fairly simple. My goal is to grow my accounts big and make a social empire. Therefore I do not use any aggressive settings. I have my “Follow Limit” set to 10-20, my “Daily Follow Limit” set to 500-600 and my “Delay Follow” to 50-70 seconds. I also have “Ignore private user” box checked on all my accounts.

FollowLiker Follow Settings

Lastly, we have to set the “Automation Time“. This is the time range of the day within which you want FollowLiker to run. If you choose from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM, FollowLiker will continue to run throughout the day. If you run it 24/7, make sure you also have enabled “Continuous Automation” in the General > Settings.

Since I run my FollowLiker on a server, I have my “Automation Time” set to 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM. That way, I run FollowLiker 24/7 without stopping it, unless I have to make changes on my projects.

FollowLiker Automation Time

Following Custom List Of Users

If you have a custom list of users whom you would like to follow, you could do that with FollowLiker as well.

After you open the “Wizard…” of the account, select the “Follow” box and unselect the “Scrape User” box. The reason you don’t want “Scrape User” function here is because you want FollowLiker to follow your custom list of users. Therefore you have to disable the scraping function. Lastly, make sure you check “Show advanced options“.

FollowLiker Custom User Follow Settings

On the next screen you will see the data of your account that FollowLiker holds. Click on “Scraped Users“.

FollowLiker Follow Custom User Data

The “Scraped User Manager” will show up. This is where FollowLiker saves the scraped users and uses them to follow later. If you ever want to see how many users FollowLiker has scraped you can view them here.

To import our own custom list of users, press “File” > “Import“.

FollowLiker Follow Custom List Import

After that, FollowLiker will ask you to load a file, either a .csv or .txt. Select your file you want to import and press “OK“. If you have successfully imported your accounts, they will appear in the manager.

NOTE: Make sure the file you load contains one username per line.

After you have imported your usernames, close the “Scraped User Manager” and press “Next“. You will be asked for the following settings, which we have described above in the previous chapter. Therefore they won’t be included in here as well.

Unfollowing Users

To unfollow previously followed users on your account, check the “Unfollow” and “Retrieve existing followers/followings” boxes. “Retrieve existing followers/followings” will scrape all the users we have followed previously (and all the users who are following us, but that is not necessary for unfollowing) and the “Unfollow” function will unfollow them.

FollowLiker Unfollow Settings

In my projects, I set the “Retrieve existing followers and followings” between 50 and 100. I don’t see any reason to set it more than that. After you are done, click “Next“.

On the next screen you can see any data about that specific account, but since we don’t need to use it, we’re going to skip it and press “Next” again.

On the next screen you can see the unfollowing settings which we have to set up. I’ll explain what each of the setting does and show you which settings I use.

FollowLiker Unfollow Settings

Follower to Following Ratio” will ensure that your account’s follower count is higher than the following count.
Unfollow After (Days)” will ensure that users won’t be unfollowed after specific amount of days.
Unfollow Limit” is the amount of users that will be unfollowed each time a task is ran.
Daily Unfollow Limit” is the amount of users that will be unfollowed per day.
Delay Unfollow” is the delay (in seconds) between each unfollowed user in the “Unfollow Limit” task.
Don’t unfollow followers” will ensure that a user won’t be unfollowed if he’s following you.
Blacklist unfollowed users” will add the unfollowed users to the “Blacklist” and won’t be followed again.

I have “Followers to Following Ratio“ set on 0.00 on all of my projects. I recommend you do the same as well.

I have my “Unfollow After (Days)” set on 0 as well, because I when I unfollow my followings, I don’t follow at the same time. If you do both activities at the same time, you should NOT use 0. I recommend up to 3 days, no more than that.

My “Unfollow Limit” is smaller than following, simply because Instagram is stricter with unfollowing in my experience. The “Daily Unfollow Limit” is pretty normal as well as the “Delay Unfollow“.

I have my “Don’t unfollow followers” unchecked, because Instagram has a limit of 7,500 total followings, therefore if you are going to use bots, you will be reaching that limit very soon and have to unfollow constantly.

I have “Blacklist unfollowed users” box checked, so that after I unfollowed my followings, they won’t be followed again. The reason is simple because I want to follow different users every time and this option ensures that and helps a lot. I highly recommend using it.

After you have finished setting up the settings, press “Next” to move to the next step.

FollowLiker Automation Time

I have explained the “Automation Time” before and I have it set from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM, so that it runs 24/7 continuously throughout the day.

Liking Photos

To like photos, right click on your account and select Custom Settings > Wizard. Check the “Scrape Photo“, “Like” and “Show Advanced Options” boxes.

FollowLiker Like Settings

After you are done, press “Next“. The next screen shows you the data about the selected account. For this task, we don’t have to do anything there, so we’re going to skip it by pressing “Next“.

FollowLiker Scrape Photo Settings

Now we have to configure the settings for scraping photos.

Scrape Photo Limit” is the amount of photos that will be scraped every time this task runs.
Scrape only top result” will ensure that only newly uploaded photos are scraped.
Save photos to disk” will download the scraped photos in a specified folder.
Save each photo’s comments” will save the comments of scraped photos in the “Comments” table of the specified project.

My “Scrape Photo Limit” is always set between 40-100, because FollowLiker runs many times within a day, therefore there’s no need to set this limit high. I always check “Scrape only top result” so my account could engage with active users. This option may limit the number of results, but it’s totally worth it. As long as you use multiple queries and there are active posters in them, you don’t have to worry about limited results.

I have never used the “Save photos to disk” or “Save each photo’s comments” features, because I don’t have any use of them. When I scrape images off Instagram, I use a Chrome plugin to download a specific photo only, rather than hundreds or thousands of images.

After configuring the scraping photo settings, we have to add queries which FollowLiker will use to scrape photos.

To add a new query, right click on the white table and press “New…“.

FollowLiker Scrape Photo New Query

A new window “Scrape Photo Query” will prompt where we will configure the queries.

FollowLiker Scrape Photo Query

Query Type” is the type of query FollowLiker will use to scrape for photos.
Query” is the value that FollowLiker will use for the specified “Query Type” above.

Example: If our “Query” value is “#followliker” and our “Query Type” is “Relevant“, it will scrape photos who contain the tag “#followliker” in them.

There are several query types that you can use to scrape for photos.

FollowLiker Scrape Photo Query Types

Relevant” will scrape photos containing a particular keyword or hashtag (value of “Query“).
Popular” will scrape only popular photos.
User’s Photo” will scrape a specific user’s photos. (Enter the username you want to scrape in “Query“)
Location” will scrape photos based on location. (Example: If we set the value of “Query” to “New York, United States” it will scrape only photos from that location.

I personally recommend using the “Relevant” query type. It gives you the opportunity to scrape photos based on a particular keyword or hashtag, which is very useful. Previously, we have set the settings to “scrape only top result” which means all the photos FollowLiker will scrape are going to be new, which means the users are active and they might follow back.

“Popular” query type isn’t very good, because uploaders of popular photos are unlikely to follow back. “User’s Photo” is not a good option either, because it will only like photos of a specific user. This could be useful if you have multiple accounts and simply want to like your own photos.

Lastly, “Location” query type is good, but the results are limited. Use this only if you are targeting a specific location and keep in mind that the results might be limited using this option.

FollowLiker Scrape Photo Full Settings

After you have configured the “Scrape Photo” settings, you have to configure the “Like” settings.

FollowLiker Like Settings

Like Limit” is the amount of photos that FollowLiker will like per each task.
Daily Like Limit” is the total amount of photos that FollowLiker will like everyday.
Delay Like” is the delay between each photo is liked in the “Like Limit” task.

I personally recommend “Like Limit” of 15-25 with a “Daily Like Limit” of 800-1000 and “Delay Like” of 30-50 seconds. It might seem a bit too high to you, but Instagram algorithms are less sensitive for liking. Therefore you can like higher amount of photos and use a smaller delay, which is not the case with other tasks.

Lastly, we have to set up the “Automation Time“. As previously mentioned, I have my automation time set to 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM, which means I run FollowLiker 24/7 continuously throughout the day.

Liking Custom List Of Photos

If you have a custom list of photos which you would like to like, you could do that with FollowLiker as well.

After you open the “Wizard…” of the account, select the “Like” box and unselect the “Scrape Photo” box. The reason you don’t want “Scrape Photo” function here is because you want FollowLiker to follow your custom list of photos. Therefore you have to disable the scraping function. Lastly, make sure you check “Show advanced options“.

FollowLiker Custom Like Task

On the next screen you will see the data of your account that FollowLiker holds. Click on “Scraped Photos“.

FollowLiker Follow Custom User Data

The “Scraped Photos Manager” will show up. This is where FollowLiker saves the scraped photos and uses them to like/comment later. If you ever want to see how many photos FollowLiker has scraped you can view them here.

To import our own custom list of users, press “File” > “Import“.

FollowLiker Scraped Photo Manager Custom List

After that, FollowLiker will ask you to load a file, either a .csv or .txt. Select your file you want to import and press “OK“. If you have successfully imported your photos, they will appear in the manager.

NOTE: Make sure the file you import contains one photo ID per line.

After you have imported your usernames, close the “Scraped Photos Manager” and press “Next“. You will be asked for the liking settings, which we have described above in the previous chapter. Therefore it won’t be included in here as well.

Unliking Photos

To unlike previously liked photos, right click on your account and select Custom Settings > Wizard. Check the “Unlike“ and “Show Advanced Options” boxes.

FollowLiker Unlike Settings

After you are done, press “Next“. The next screen shows you the data about the selected account. For this task, we don’t have to do anything there, so we’re going to skip it by pressing “Next“.

FollowLiker Unlike Photo Settings

Unlike After” ensures that photos will be unliked after specific amount of days (from the day they have been liked).
Unlike Limit” is the amount of photos that will be unliked every time this task runs.
Daily Unlike Limit” is the amount of photos that will be unliked every day.
Delay Unlike” is the delay between each photo is unliked in the “Unlike Limit” task.

After you have finished setting up the “Unlike” settings, press “Next” to move to the next step. The next and last step is setting up the “Automation Time” which has been explained a couple of times before.

I have never used this feature, neither I plan on using it, simple because there’s no point of doing it. Instagram doesn’t have any limit on how many photos we can like, so we can just keep liking. And also, it takes time to unlike photos, especially if we like big amount of photos, it will take time to unlike all of them, which means we won’t be able to run other tasks in the meantime, such as liking, following or anything else.

Commenting On Photos

To comment on photos, we have to check the “Comment” and “Scrape Photo” boxes. “Scrape Photo” function will find photos which the “Comment” function will comment on.

Don’t forget to check the “Show advanced options” box as well, because it has useful settings in there, which we normally can’t see.

FollowLiker Comment Task

On the next screen, you can see all the data about the specified account that FollowLiker has stored. This page is a part of the advanced options. In this case, we don’t have to set up anything there, so press “Next” to go to the next step.

FollowLiker Photo Scrape For Comments

“Scrape Photo Limit” is the amount of photos that will be scraped every time this task runs.
“Scrape only top result” will ensure that only newly uploaded photos are scraped.
“Save photos to disk” will download the scraped photos in a specified folder.
“Save each photo’s comments” will save the comments of scraped photos in the “Comments” table of the specified project.

“Query Type” is the type of query FollowLiker will use to scrape for photos.
“Query” is the value that FollowLiker will use for the specified “Query Type” above.

Example: If our “Query” value is “#followliker” and our “Query Type” is “Relevant“, it will scrape photos who contain the tag “#followliker” in them.

There are several query types that you can use to scrape for photos.

FollowLiker Scrape Photo Query Types

“Relevant” will scrape photos containing a particular keyword or hashtag (value of “Query“).
“Popular” will scrape only popular photos.
“User’s Photo” will scrape a specific user’s photos. (Enter the username you want to scrape in “Query“)
“Location” will scrape photos based on location.

FollowLiker Photo Scrape Settings Comments

After you have configured the “Scrape Photo” settings, you have to configure the “Comment” settings.

FollowLiker Comment Settings

Comment Limit” is the amount of comments that FollowLiker will post per each task.
Daily Comment Limit” is the amount of comments that FollowLiker will post daily.
Delay Comment” is the delay between each comment in the “Comment Limit” task.
Comment on a user’s photo once” will ensure that only one photo of a user is commented on.

Personally, I recommend low limits for comments, because Instagram has cracked on comments hard a few months ago. They have introduced new algorithms, limits and so on. I, myself, am not doing any comments, but if you would like to comment, you could use slow settings as in the picture.

And also, I would recommend using “Comment on a user’s photo once” option because commenting on multiple photos of the same user is bad if you want to get more followers. The more different users you engage to, the higher amount of follows you could get.

After setting up the settings for commenting, you have to set up the comments that FollowLiker will use to post.

To add new comments, right click on the comments table and select “New…“. You could also import new comments by selecting “Import…“.

FollowLiker Add New Comment

To add a new comment, a new window will prompt asking you to write the comment. You can write anything you wish, including hash tags, new lines and so on.

FollowLiker New Comment

Many of Instagrammers use emojis in their comments as well, which is supported by FollowLiker. If you would like to include emojis in your comment, you can do that as well.

First of all, navigate to Wikipedia page for Emoji and scroll down until you find a table with emojis. Copy the emoji you want to include in your comment and paste it inside FollowLiker.

FollowLiker Emoji Comments

Another great feature for comments is ‘spinning’ words in the comments. Spinning is basically randomly selecting different words in order to make a unique comment every time.

An example of spinned comment is the following: {great|awesome|cool} {photo|pic|picture|image}. The output of this will be unique every time, which means there won’t be duplicate comments posted.

The above spinned comment could give different outcomes, such as great pic, awesome image, awesome pic, cool photo and so on.

FollowLiker Spinned Comment

Once you are finished adding comments, you final comment settings should be looking something like this:

FollowLiker Final Comment Settings

I personally recommend you to write at least 5-10 well spinned comments if you would like to use comments. Instagram has improved their algorithms for detecting spam in comments significantly and they can easily detect duplicate comments. I also recommend you to change your comments every few weeks (4-5).

Commenting On Custom List Of Photos

If you have a custom list of photos which you would like to comment on, you could do that with FollowLiker as well.

After you open the “Wizard…” of the account, select the “Comment” box and unselect the “Scrape Photo” box. The reason you don’t want “Scrape Photo” function here is because you want FollowLiker to comment on your custom list of photos. Therefore you have to disable the scraping function. Lastly, make sure you check “Show advanced options“.

FollowLiker Custom Comment Settings

On the next screen you will see the data of your account that FollowLiker holds. Click on “Scraped Photos“.

FollowLiker Follow Custom User Data

The “Scraped Photos Manager” will show up. This is where FollowLiker saves the scraped photos and uses them to like/comment later. If you ever want to see how many photos FollowLiker has scraped you can view them here.

To import our own custom list of photos, press “File” > “Import“.

FollowLiker Scraped Photo Manager Custom List

After that, FollowLiker will ask you to load a file, either a .csv or .txt. Select your file you want to import and press “OK“. If you have successfully imported your photos, they will appear in the manager.

NOTE: Make sure the file you load contains one photo ID per line.

After you have imported your photos, close the “Scraped Photos Manager” and press “Next“. You will be asked for the commenting settings, which we have described above in the previous part.

Following, Liking and Commenting On User’s Followers Simultaneously

If you want to follow someone’s followers and simultaneously like/comment on the pictures of each user you follow, you can do it with FollowLiker.

Check the “Scrape User“, “Scrape Photo“, “Follow“, “Like“, “Comment” and the “Show advanced options” boxes.

FollowLiker FLC Settings

After you are done, press “Next“. The next screen shows you the data about the selected account. For this task, we don’t have to do anything there, so we’re going to skip it by pressing “Next“.

FollowLiker Scrape User Settings

Before we set up the settings for following, we have to set up the scraping settings, so FollowLiker can scrape users to follow. The scraping settings are the same as we have used in the following process. The only difference here is that there is a special query option that we are going to use.

To add a new query for scraping, right click anywhere on the white table and click “New“.

FollowLiker Scrape User Queries

After we have clicked “New“, a window will prompt to add a new query.

FollowLiker Scrape User Query Types

Choose “Normal Search” as “Query Type” and “FLC:username” as “Query” value. Replace “username” in the value of “Query” with the username of the account whose followers you want to follow.

Click “Save” and then click “Next“.

Next thing to set up is the scraping settings for photos. FollowLiker will scrape the photos from the scraped users, which will be used to like/comment later on.

FollowLiker FLC Scrape Photo

Scrape Photo Limit” is the amount of pictures to scrape from the user that will be used for liking/commenting.
Scrape only top result” will ensure that only the newest pictures are scraped.
Save photos to disk” will save the scraped photos on your computer.
Save each photo’s comments” will save the comments of each scraped photo and add them to the comments table.

What is really import here is that we set “Scrape Photo Limit” to lower number, because we don’t want to like a lot of user’s photos. I personally recommend setting this limit up to 3 only, which means it will like the latest 3 photos of the followed user.

I recommend to use the “Scrape only top result” option here as well to ensure that only his latest pictures are scraped and not older ones.

After setting up the basic settings, we have to add a new query type of special type again as well.

To add a new query, right click on the white table and press “New…“.

FollowLiker Scrape Photo New Query

A new window “Scrape Photo Query” will prompt where we will configure the queries.

FollowLiker Scrape Photo Query

Choose “Relevant” as “Query Type” and “FLC:username” as “Query” value. Replace “username” in the value of “Query” with the username of the account whose followers you want to follow.

After you have added the query(ies), click “Save” and go to the next page. The next pages include settings for following, liking, commenting and automation time.

I have explained each and every one of them above, so I’m not going to repeat myself again here. Scroll above a little bit and you have everything explained.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You are NOT required to follow, like and comment. If you don’t want to comment, you could choose only “Follow” and “Like” in the wizard and exclude “Comment“. Or otherwise.

Uploading And Scheduling Photos

The “Share Photo” function in FollowLiker works in a different way from the other functions. Therefore, I have written a separate tutorial for it.

I recommend you to open two instances of FollowLiker. Then create two different projects, one for uploading and scheduling only and other one for botting (following, liking, commenting and so on).

You can read the tutorial on uploading and scheduling photos with FollowLiker here.

Sending Direct Messages

To send direct messages to any Instagram user, check the “DM” and “Scrape User” boxes and then press “Next“.

FollowLiker DM Any User

On the next screen you can see any data about that specific account, but since we don’t need to use it, we’re going to skip it and press “Next” again.

FollowLiker Scrape User Settings

Before we set up the settings for following, we have to set up the scraping settings, so FollowLiker can scrape users to follow.

“Scrape User Limit” is the amount of users FollowLiker will scrape per each task. I always have this number set between 40 and 120. The reason for not setting up high number is simply because FollowLiker runs multiple tasks within the day, so it will never run out of users to follow.
“Scrape only top result” will ensure that FollowLiker only scrapes users on the top of the search queries. Using this option may limit the amount users scraped. I recommend using this setting if you are scraping your users based on hashtags. If you are scraping based on other user’s followers or users who liked/commented a specific photo, then you don’t need to use this.
“Ignore private users” will ensure that no private users are scraped or followed. I use this setting for all of my projects.
“Ignore users with no profile picture” will ensure that users with no profile picture will not be scraped or followed. I use this setting for my project as well.

After you are done setting up the scraping settings, you have to add queries which FollowLiker will use to look for new users and scrape them. There are many type of queries you can use with FollowLiker, but not all of them are efficient or worth doing.

To add a new query for scraping, right click anywhere on the white box and click “New“.

FollowLiker Scrape User Queries

“New…” will prompt a window to add a new query for scraping.
“Edit…” will prompt a window to edit the selected query.
“Delete…” will delete the selected query.
“Delete All…” will delete all the queries.
“Sort…” will sort the queries based on what you want.
“Import…” will import previously exported queries to the list.
“Export…” will export all the queries in the list for later use.
“Copy properties to other queries…” will copy the the properties of the selected query to the other queries.

After we have clicked “New“, a window will prompt to add a new query.

FollowLiker Scrape User Query Types

“Query Type” is the type of query FollowLiker will use to scrape for users.
“Query” is the value that FollowLiker will use for the specified “Query Type” above.

“Users Who Tagged” will find users who posted a photo that has a particular word or tag in its caption. To use this query type, write the particular word or tag you want FollowLiker to search for in the “Query” value.
“User’s Follower” will follow a specific user’s followers. Enter the username whose followers you want to follow in “Query” value.
“Normal Search” will find users whose profile or username contains a particular word or tag. To use this query type, enter the particular word or tag you want FollowLiker to search in the “Query” value.
“Location” will find users by location. To use this query type, enter the name of the location, city or country in the “Query” value. (Example: New York, United States)
“User’s Following” will find users whom a specified user is following. Enter the username of the user whose followings you want to scrape in the “Query” value.
“Users Who Liked” will find users who have liked a specific photo. To use this query, enter the URL of the photo or the ID of the photo in the “Query” value.
“Users Who Commented” will find users who have commented a specific photo.

“Location” is useful query type if you are targeting a specific country, city or area.

The next page is where we configure our direct messaging settings. When you open the page for the first time, it looks like this by default.

FollowLiker DM Default Settings

DM Limit” is the amount of direct messages that will be sent for each task.
Daily DM Limit” is the amount of direct messages that will be sent daily.
Delay DM” is the amount of delay between each direct message in the “DM Limit” task.
DM Photo Folder” is the path to the folder from which photos will be used to send direct messages.
Mail only scraped users” will ensure that only scraped users will receive DMs.

I personally have not used direct messages (yet), but I know that Instagram has very smart algorithms to stop spam with direct messages as they do with comments. Therefore, I recommend you to use slow settings and send low amount of direct messages. My recommended settings would be “DM Limit” of 3-7, “Daily DM Limit” of 150-200, and “Delay DM” of 40-70 seconds.

Make sure you check the “Mail only scraped users” box as well, because it’s required in this case if we want to send direct messages to scraped users.

FollowLiker DM Settings Scraped Users

After setting up the settings for sending DMs, we have to add new DMs to send. Right click on the DM table and select “New…“.

You can either assign this particular message to a specific image, or you could leave it so that it will be used for all the images.

You could also use emojis in your direct messages. It works the same way as in the comments.

First of all, navigate to Wikipedia page for Emoji and scroll down until you find a table with emojis. Copy the emoji you want to include in your comment and paste it inside FollowLiker.

FollowLiker DM New Message Emoji

We can also spinned words in direct messages as well. This is a very useful and important feature to use, because it gives us the opportunity to have multiple unique variations from one message, so there are no duplicates sent.

An example of spinned message is the following: {thanks|thank you|many thanks} for {following us|following our profile}. The output of this will be unique every time, which means there won’t be duplicate comments posted.

The above spinned comment could give different outcomes, such as thanks for following us, many thanks for following our profile and so on.

Creating A New Global Project

A lot of people are not aware of this awesome feature of FollowLiker, but in some cases it could be very useful. A global project is basically a project with only one “Wizard“, therefore all the accounts in that project will be running the same settings. You might be thinking why is that useful? Well, if you have multiple accounts in the same niche and don’t want to follow the same users more than once on all of your accounts, this is the way to do this.

To create a new global project, go to “File” > “New Project…“.

FollowLiker File Menu

A new window will open, write the name of your project and save it as *.flk file. Also make sure that you have UNchecked “Each account should have separate settings” so that you can use the Global Wizard.

FollowLiker Global Project Name

After you click “Save”, FollowLiker will proceed to creating the project. Wait a couple of seconds until it’s finished.

FollowLiker Project Creation

After the project has been created, it will automatically load the project as well. The FollowLiker Title will change including the name of the loaded project.

FollowLiker Uploading Tutorial

After the project is created, you can add your accounts to the users table the same way as in normal projects. After you have added your accounts, there won’t be “Custom Settings…” > “Wizard…” anymore. Instead, there will be a “Global Wizard“, where you choose the settings and those settings will apply to all the accounts in that project.

To access to “Global Wizard“, go to “Tools” > “Global Wizard…” in the FollowLiker menu.

FollowLiker Global Wizard Menu

After that, the “Global Wizard” will open and it has a very similar interface as the normal Wizard.

FollowLiker Global Wizard

As you can see, pretty much the same as the normal wizard, with one new option. “Ignore accounts with no proxy” will basically ignore any accounts for which there is no proxy.

There are also two more new options in the wizard for following, liking and commenting, which is the main purpose of using “Global Wizard“.

The first one can be found in the follow settings, which is “Follow a user once“. This setting will follow a user once and if any other account in this project ever comes to this account again, it will skip it and NOT follow the same user.

FollowLiker Global Wizard Follow Once

The second setting is “Like a photo once” which basically will like a photo once and if any other account in this project ever comes across this photo, it will skip it and won’t like it.

FollowLiker Like A Photo Once

The other settings remain unchanged and you can follow the same settings as in the normal projects. I would recommend using the “Global Wizard” only if you have multiple accounts in the same niche and don’t want to follow the same users or like the same pictures more than once on all of your accounts.

For example, if you have three accounts “Account 1“, “Account 2” and “Account 3” and “Account 1” follows “User 1” and likes “Picture 1“, that means “Account 2” and “Account 3” will NOT follow “User 1” or like “Picture 1” again. It will be skipped.

Tips and Tricks

Ignore private users

A lot of people ask me why I recommend ignoring private users. The reason is simple. Instagram allows users to follow maximum 7,500 users.

Therefore, when we follow a private user, our following count increases by 1, but the (private) user we followed has to either accept or decline our request. If he doesn’t accept or decline the request, it stays pending and our following count is higher. Therefore, if you follow 6,000 users and 1,500 private users, your total following count on Instagram will show 6,000, but you won’t be able to follow anymore, because your actual limit will be 7,500 including the private users.

Don’t follow and unfollow at the same time

I personally don’t follow and unfollow at the same time, because I have had some issues with temporary bans before. Every time I started to unfollow, I would get temporary blocked from following, so I decided not to follow anymore during unfollowing and it’s been OK. However, I’ve seen people who do both at the same time and don’t have any problems, so if you could do that, then it’s better for you!

Use proxies

If you run multiple accounts or change your location often, I highly recommend using proxies.

My choice of proxies is SSL Private Proxies. But another good alternative is Proxy N VPN.

Use a VPS

If you don’t want to run FollowLiker on your computer 24/7, just buy a VPS. FollowLiker is not a software which requires good hardware, which means you can buy a cheap VPS and run it there.

I recommend Solid SEO VPS. They have good plans and great performance and speed.

Another alternative is Shape Host. Many people use them and they are satisfied, so you can try them out as well.

Resize your photos

If you have photos in format bigger than the Instagram, they will automatically crop the image and remove some parts of it. To avoid that, you could use the program I made called “Instagram Bulk Pictures Resizer“.

Get photo ID of a picture on Instagram

Sometimes we need to use a photo ID, rather than picture URL in FollowLiker. For example in “Users Who Liked” or “Users Who Commented” query. I have created a program to get the photo ID of any picture on Instagram, which you can find here.

Use automatic captcha solvers

Sometimes Instagram asks you to enter a captcha to confirm that you are a real human and not a bot. If you’re away from the computer, you won’t be able to type it, therefore FollowLiker will not run on that particular account and wait for you to answer the captcha. To avoid such problems, use captcha services, like DeathByCaptcha or De-Captcher.

Spin your comments/messages

If you plan on using comments or direct messages, make sure to use the ‘spin’ feature to create unique comments and messages. You can use free tools online such as Best Free Spinner.

Blacklist Unfollowed Users

If you don’t want to follow the same users again, make sure to use the “Blacklist after unfollowing” feature. I don’t see any reason why would you follow the same user twice, if he didn’t follow back the first time, it’s unlikely he will the second time as well.

Conclusion

FollowLiker is one of the best automation software for social media. It provides a lot of useful features at an affordable price. It’s without a doubt worth purchasing.

It took me 5 days to write this tutorial and I tried my best to include as much information as possible. The tutorial length is over 10,000 words and includes over 100 pictures.

If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to post a comment or contact me.

  1. Awesome share, but I’d like to point that in the part where you mentioned we need to get the ID of a photo instead of URL is not really like that, we can perfectly just use the URL of the pictures as stated on FL official guide.

    1. Hi Junior,

My bad! Sorry about that. It didn’t use to be like this before, it must be a feature in the new versions.

I have corrected those parts and mentioned that people could use URL as well. If I missed something, please let me know.

      Thanks for the feedback!

      Best regards,
      Risto

  2. Awesome guide, very helpful!
I have one question: if I run followliker using “FLC” (follow, like, comment) the guide of FL tell to reduce the “automation interval” of general settings to 15-20 sec , do you think that is dangerous or I have to use those settings?

    Thanks a lot!

    1. Hi Walt,

I personally wouldn’t recommend that. But it’s up to you. I run FollowLiker 24/7 and I can afford having longer delays, but if time is a problem for you, you could try reducing the delay in that case.

      Best regards,
      Risto

        1. Hi Drey,

The amount of followers you gain depends on a lot of factors. Some major factors are your niche, your source from which you scrape users, the quality of your account, the current size of your account and so on.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  3. This a guide that is prepared better than FL did. Congratulations.

I read both guides. However, i have still some questions in my mind. Could you please answer them? Thanks.

1- Why did you install two FL on you PC? What are the advantages of this?

2- How can i do that? Do i just need to install FL two times? Are they able to work simultaneously?

3- On comment settings, do i need to open new window for each comment that i will add? Or can i type all my comments on a one window?

4- “Accounts per proxy” : i have 10 accounts on FL. Five of them use my real ip. The others, i assigned an ip that i bought. So, what number do i need to type that section?

5- “copy to other account(s)…” I will use this option to make all the other accounts same as the one i clicked. Is that correct?

6- “queries” : on “popular” section, do i need to add hashtags?

7- “Scheduling photos ” FL support says that if i want to share 1 picture every hour, i need to set photo share limit 1-1 and automation interval 60 minutes. However, when i do that, all my other activities affect.(following…) how can i fix it?

Sory for my long writing. Thanks in advance!

    1. Hi sukru,

Thanks a lot for the kind words.

      1. I do not install FL twice, I just run two instances of it. The reason is because if you want to bot your accounts (follow, like, comment etc) you have to set your global “Automation Time” to a few minutes (2-4 or something). If you want to schedule uploads on your accounts, you have to change the “Automation Time” to a few hours (at least for me). This can’t be achieved in a single instance of FollowLiker, so you have to open a new one.

      2. You just open the program twice. You don’t have to install it twice. And make sure you create a new project.

      3. You have to open a new window for each comment you add.

      4. This is not very necessary if you have used a specific proxy on your accounts. This option is useful if you have a lot of accounts and use the “Global Wizard” to do stuff.

      5. Yes, if you want to copy that data from one account to others, use that setting. However, read the tip I have added inside the tutorial, if you want to only change the settings, you have to make a new fake account, otherwise it will append all the data from the account you are copying from to the others as well.

      6. No, for scraping “POPULAR”, you just select “POPULAR” and leave the value as it is.

      7. Pretty much why I use two instances of FollowLiker. You open a new instance of FollowLiker, create a new project and upload there.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Many thanks for your kind and detailed answer to me!

Risto, when i launch a second FL for sharing photos, first account works as desired. However, the others(i added five) don’t follow automation interval. Why is that?

        1. Hi,

That’s weird to be honest. I’ve never had a problem with accounts not following the automation interval. What are your sharing settings on those accounts?

          Best regards,
          Risto

          1. Hi Risto,

I did my setup again and the problem solved. Thanks. So, I would like to ask about proxies…

I rented an ip and a vps. I have ten instagram accounts. Five of them use vps’s ip, the other five use the ip i rented. They are keep going on vps. But, can i access that accounts from my mobile phone(instagram api)? Or can i access from computer. VPS and the rented ip located on USA and i am in Turkey. What would you do?

Can i force the instagram api on my phone to use my ips(vps’ or the rented ip)?

Another issue, i cannot use my ip on my pc. What will i enter on window’s network connections area? It asks me subnetmask, defaultgateway, preferred dns server and alternate dns server. I know only my ip adress. Nothing more. And i couldn’t achieved to get that numbers from the support team.

I will be glad if you can advice me.

          2. Hi Şükrü Dellal,

I think you’ll be fine with 5 accounts per one IP address. I personally use up to 3 maximum, but you should be fine with 5, as long as you don’t have aggressive settings.

To change the settings on your computer, you don’t have to do anything in your Network Connections area. That is for your network (Internet). Setting up a proxy is different. If you are using Chrome, click here to read how to use proxy. If you are using Mozilla Firefox click here or here to learn how to use a proxy.

After you set up the proxy, you can access your account with the same IP address on your computer as well.

            Best regards,
            Risto

  4. First, thanks you soooo much for your tutorial, its 100% better than what the software gives you. This is my problem. I have added several accounts but only the first one seems to be working. The other accounts say N/A as if the software has not started on them. Can you help?

    1. Hi Ericka,

What is your Account Threads set to? And also, make sure you restart the bot (“Stop” and “Start” again) after adding a new account.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  5. Hi risto,

first of all thanks for this guide, i buy followliker 1 year ago but whith the guide of FL i have many mistakes but with your guide are all ok!
I have only 1 question. I wanted to know , I use the program followliker 24h , and I need to connect with the mobile phone , I can do while they are connected to followliker ? I post pictures from the cell while followliker use ? I need a proxy instagram even if they are connected with the suid from italy and I connect with my phone always from Italy ? if I buy a proxy instagram has Discounted external city then how can I do ?

    1. Hi matteo,

If I understood correctly, your question is whether you can use FollowLiker to follow, like or comment and post pictures from your phone while FollowLiker is running? If so, yes, you can post pictures. I personally run FollowLiker 24/7 as well and I post picture(s) from my phone sometimes and I have no problems with it.

It’s not necessary to use a proxy if you manage up to 3-5 accounts. You could use the same IP address for FollowLiker and your phone, you shouldn’t be having any problems uploading picture(s) while FollowLiker is running. Just make sure you don’t “spam” by uploading a lot of pictures.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. thanks risto, but i know when i not at home, but in the same cities, when followliker running, can connect with the my phone with the connection of mobile and post picture or scrolling for news che hompepage?

          1. Hi matteo,

Yes I do have an e-mail address. I’ve sent you a mail, check your inbox.

            Best regards,
            Risto

        1. Hi matteo,

If you are using the same connection (3G/4G I assume), then I think you should be fine anywhere you go. However, if you log in from public Wi-Fi and change your IP address, it might trigger some of the Instagram algorithms.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  6. Hi, You are the best! 🙂

I am new using this program, and could not find tutorials on how to use it. Thanks to you I have learned many things. I would like to see a tutorial on how to install “FL” in a “VPS”.

Excuse my bad english, I speak Spanish.

    Greetings from Colombia.

    1. Hi Benko,

Installing FollowLiker on VPS is pretty much the same as you install it on your own computer. There’s no difference.

If you have any specific question or have any problems, let me know, I’ll try to assist.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Necesito saber cuales son las especificaciones que debe tener el VPS. Tengo un Vps que corre en CentOS para mis proyectos web, pero no se si este funciona para FL.

        1. I need to know what the specifications should have the VPS. I have a VPS running on CentOS for my web projects, but do not know if this works for FL.

          1. Hi,

First of all, FollowLiker does not work on Linux operating systems. Therefore it won’t work on CentOS, unless you install a VirtualBox or something that allows you to run Windows executables.

Otherwise, you’ll have to purchase a Windows VPS. I have listed 2 companies that provide Windows VPS in the sidebar of my blog.

            Best regards,
            Risto

  7. Hi …. What A guide Man . hats Off .

    I’m running 2 instances ( 1 for uploading , and 1 for flc )

    I have a few questions though …

Should i open a 3rd instance of FL to start Unfollowing ? Or i can do unfollwoing in the FLC ( follow , like , comment ) itself .

2 ) How to successfully use hashtags ?

3 ) How to make an account niche specific ?

4 ) you got any personal email or skype ?
Any tips would be great .

    1. Hi siddharth jain,

      1. It’s up to you. I haven’t really tested it, but I think it should work in 1 instance, FLC + unfollowing. Just make sure you set the “Unfollow after (days)” more than 0, because if you have it set to 0, the software might unfollow users from the same day.

      2. Use hashtags for scraping users, or posting pictures?

      3. Could you be more specific on your question? You can make an account and name it something related to your niche and post pictures only related to that niche. That’s basically a niche specific account.

      4. Yes, I do have. But I do not post my private information in public, sorry about that. I’ll add a contact form soon on the site. 🙂

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. 1 ) Okay

2 ) By use of hashtags , i meant to ask should i scrap users using fitness or #fitness ?

        3 ) Username niche related – done
        photos niche related – done

how to get followers only related to your niche ? ( by scrapping niche related keywords ? )

4 ) You have my email , so if u can drop a mail when you’ve got some free time.

Thanks for taking time to reply to this .

        1. Hi,

          2) If you want to scrape with a hashtag, you have to include the # symbol in the query. Otherwise it will search for the “fitness” keyword normally, without a hashtag.

          3) Yes, by scraping niche-related users/pictures and following/liking/commenting them.

          4) Sounds good. Will do 🙂

          Best regards,
          Risto

  8. Awesome tutorial man, thanks for putting this together for everyone! I have a question, I was wondering if you think it would be possible to blacklist hashtags by just adding the “#” in front of the word?

    1. Hi,

No, I don’t think that’s possible. But why would you want to blacklist a hashtag? It doesn’t make sense to me.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Well one of my niches is pets. There have been one or two instances where the bot has made an inappropriate comment on a image that was about a deceased pet. I was wondering if there was a way to blacklist a hashtag to not have this happen again. For instance the person the posts might user a good hashtag but at the same time use “rip” , in which case I would not like the bot to comment on that.

        1. Hi,

Now I understand. That actually makes sense. However, I don’t think there is a way to do this with FollowLiker, unfortunately.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  9. Pleaseeee help.

Thanks soooo much for this tutorial

I purchased followliker a while ago but I am getting the worst result ever. I contacted them several times and their response to help is so automated which offeres no help at all.
This is the first tutorial with actual details.

I have set up my settings and literally only getting about 10 new followers a day.
By the way I’m in the clothing niche. I am a clothing boutique to be specific.
I tried changing things around to get better results and nothing seems to work.
I am willing to pay someone to help me with my settings to get it to work properly if needed. But 10 followers daily is simply horrible.
    Below are my settings.

    1. only getting on average 5 new followers a day (that is insanly bad)
    2. My comments limit is stopping at only 50 when it used to go to 200 comments a day.

all together, i am getting horrible results.

    below are my settings

    Scrap user/Scrape photo/Like/Shuffle tasks= all checked
    Scrape user limit: 40
Scrape only top result/ignore private users/ignore users with no pictures
    =all checked

    Query: list of several hashtags

    Scrape photo limit=40
    scrape only top result=checked
    query of a few hash
    tags

    Like limit=10-20
    Daily like=1700-1850
    delay=15-20 sec

    comment limit=10-20
    daily comment limit=375-400
    delay comment=50-100 sec
    6 random comments to shuffle

automated time 12am to 12 am

I don’t use the follow/unfollow feature because as a fashion boutique I wanted to stay away from following people  but if I must I will.
if you could please assist me on figuring out why the software is simply not working for me that will be great since it is currently not doing its purpose at all and it is getting frustrating.

If you are able and available to set up mine I am willing to pay as well. I just really need help.
    Thank you
    Thank you in advance.

    1. Hi Sjess,

First of all, I’m sorry to hear that. Getting 5-10 followers a day is pretty bad if you ask me, especially if you are botting.

Instagram updated their algorithms to prevent spam in comments a few months ago and since then people are having troubles commenting. The best you can do in this case is to write several comments, each of them unique and spinned. Also, try not to mention any users in your comments (@username) because they have protection for that as well. If it’s necessary for you to mention users in comments, at least don’t do it in all of your comments, have some normal comments without any mentions.

If you don’t plan on following any users, using the “Scrape User” feature is not necessary. You only need “Scrape Photo” for liking/commenting.

I would say your settings are good, maybe your comments are a bit too many but other than that, it’s all good.

The last thing you should look at is your scraping settings, they might be the reason why you’re not getting many followers.

And also, you should consider giving following a try, if you get good results off it, you can keep doing it, otherwise you can stop. But in my experience so far, following brings pretty much the most followers.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  10. Wow Risto,

This is pretty impressive to say the least. You have helped so much of us in a few different ways.

Thanks man, this is really awesome. Just bleak im getting to only read this now.

I have a question though, I was following an awesome account and was hoping to just import the account when I moved FL onto a VPS but I lost the account name in the process and all i can see is a .flk file. Is there a place I could recover that or program I could use. Longshot but worth a ask.

    1. Hi Gusto,

What do you mean by ‘lost the account’? Did you lose the whole project/files? If so, I don’t think there is any way to recover it.

If you keep your database, project files and other stuff, you can just load the project and the settings will be the same as they were before.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Hi Risto,

Great blog post and I appreciate all your efforts helping people here. Im having the same issue with transferring my FollowLiker settings and profiles to vps. Ive followed everything in the Misc>FAQ section with copying Data/dp_dump/Followliker zip to VPS FL installation and removing the log files. It still will not open on my VPS and Im trying to avoid having to setup each individual account and settings again. Is there anything I could be doing wrong?

Is it because its still installed on my MAC ?

        Regards
        WolfGang

        1. Hi,

You can run FL on one computer only. If you want to transfer it, I believe you have to reset your license.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  11. Hi Risto,

    Thanks for your detailed answer.

Again, i run a second instance for sharing photos. However, whenever i do any change, other instance affects. (Even when i pause an account)

    What do you think?

  12. hi risto,
this is a complete tutorial i`ve ever seen before.. thanks it helps a lot… 🙂

i have some basic question here..
if i have a plan to build bulk IG account, can you suggest me whats the best way to do that? what tools which i should use?

can you sent an email to me? wanna know you more if you dont mind.. 🙂

    respectfully,

    peter

    1. Hi Peter,

If you would like to grow multiple Instagram accounts, you would need a bot, proxies, sim cards (phone numbers) and maybe a VPS/Dedicated server to run your bot 24/7.

I’ll send you an e-mail with a link to each of these.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  13. Hi Risto!

I’m having a problem with FLC settings:

1 – I’m using an automation interval of 1-2 mins
2 – Scraping user from 3 accounts with the FLC: (40 users, top results)
3 – Scraping Photos (with FLC:) 2 pics, top results.
    4 – 5-8 Following limit 20-30 delay
    5 – 10-16 Like limit 10 – 15 delay (doubled “follow” settings)

The problem: in statistics the results are like 200 follows vs 60 likes, where is suppossed be 200 follows and (follows*2) likes…. 400 or so.

Also, I noticed its only liking 2 photos per task, but 5-8 follows per task.

    1. Hi David,

Try lowering your automation interval, because as far as I know FLC works with limit of 1 per task, which means it will take a long time to finish all the tasks with your current automation interval.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  14. Hi Risto

Thanks for the guide! It’s exactly what a lot of people have been looking for.

I run about 30 accounts and only use the liking feature paired up with the scrape user. I originally had my settings to I would scrape 5 users with Normal search and FLC:username. This was paired with scrape photo, 2, and again FLC:username matching the scrape user.

About 48hours ago this failed. I contacted Followliker and they said that we now need to select scrape user with User’s follower and FLC:usernam.

However, my results have been shit ever since. Any idea?

    Cheers

    Leon

    1. Hi Leon,

This is a weird behavior. It’s really hard to tell what could be causing this, but most of the times bad results are caused by the way you scrape users/photos.

Check FollowLiker statistics, see if it really reaches the limit of follows/likes. If it does, good, otherwise you might check why your settings.

Other than that, you can check your scraped data in the second screen, you can try removing the old data and focus on the new one instead only.

Lastly, if none of the above fixes the problem, you can try altering your scraping settings, maybe new hashtags/usernames or lowering the amount of users/hashtags and see which ones perform better and stick to them.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  15. Hi, I really love your guides! I’ts the best 🙂

    I just have some questions,

    1. I applied your settings, FLC:username (normal search) in the Scrape User Settings. I put 4 usernames with big followers, However I noticed after running 6 hrs, my 3 accounts only followed 40-50 users. My automation setting interval is 2-4 minutes. Any Idea what that happened?

    2. I also applied FLC:username (Relevant) in the Scrape Photo Setting, I rechecked the Wizard setting while the account is running and I noticed, the bot added some in there like, Query:username, Query Type: User’s Photo, I think its about 30-40 new field’s in there. Is that normal?

I hope you could answer my questions 🙂

    Thanks and Regards,
    Stephen

    1. Hi Stephen,

      1. Lower your automation interval to 20-40 seconds or something like that. It’s too high currently to run with FLC.

      2. Yes, that is normal. It adds the username of people scraped and later on likes some of their pictures (depending what you set the limit).

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Hi sir, thanks for your response. I have one question about FLC setting.

I read on the FL guide “Enter “FLC:” into the “Query” field, select “Relevant” as “Query Type” and save. (Add this query only once)”

        but your guide says,

Choose “Relevant” as “Query Type” and “FLC:username” as “Query” value. Replace “username” in the value of “Query” with the username of the account whose followers you want to follow.

so I’m somewhat confuse. What is the right word to input in the Relevant field? is it “FLC:” only or “FLC:(username)”

        thank you.

      2. Hi Risto,
I’m using FLC:username for Scrape User Settings and my current “global automation interval” in general settings is set to 3-5 minutes, but you mentioned above “Lower your automation interval to 20-40 seconds or something like that. It’s too high currently to run with FLC.”

Should I lower it to 20-40 seconds in this case?

        Regards,
        Jack

        1. Hi,

I believe they have fixed a bug in their software that was making it slower. Try out with something in the middle of those two, like 1-3 minutes. See how it performs and if it doesn’t reach the target, lower it more.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  16. Amazing article for its detail! I can tell you put a lot of work into this. Thank you so much for posting! I have a question: I have a Macbook Pro and I purchased the Value Bundle for Amazon WorkSpaces (10GB) 6 months ago, and now I am upgrading to Standard (50GB). Is there a way to transfer/import my FL projects into my new Amazon WorkSpaces? It is like I’m starting fresh on a new computer. Ideally, it would be great to not have to re-create all of the projects. Thank you!

    1. Hi,

Yes there is a way. However, you have to send a support ticket to FollowLiker to reset your license, because you can only use their software on one computer.

To backup the data follow these steps (these are for Mac users only).

      1. Close all opened instances of the software.
      2. Right-click on “Finder” and select “Go to Folder…”. Type “/Users” in the field and click the “Go” button.
      3. Double-click the “Home” icon in the opened folder. Double-click the “Follow Liker” folder, then the “mdb” folder.
      4. Compress/zip the “data” folder only.
      5. Still inside “mdb” folder, double-click the “bin” folder.
      6. Compress/zip the “db_dump” folder only.
      7. Go to “Documents”, locate the “Follow Liker” folder, then compress/zip the folder.
      8. Move each compressed/zipped file to a backup device.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Thank you but I understand how to backup my files. However, I do not know how to transfer the backup files to the installation of the new FL. If I move the backup files from backup device to mdb\bin folder, nothing happens when I try to open the projects… Still receiving window popup – “cannot find project”
        Any suggestions?

        1. Hi,

You need to backup everything, including the projects as well, which can be found in the FollowLiker folder.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  17. Hi Risto .
    Help me, please.
1 ) I bought the followliker and wonder to 20 user accounts I have to buy 20 proxies ?

    2) private ssl proxy site , has two types of proxies : Instagram Proxy and Private Proxy, which is the best ?

    3) It is mandatory to use VPS ?

I did not understand about PROXY and VPS. Help me and send links please Risto .

I thank you, I await your contact as soon as possible .
    I’m from Brazil

    1. Hi,

      1) No, you don’t have to. I use 3 accounts per 1 proxy.
      2) You have to buy Instagram proxies, private proxies do not work with Instagram.
      3) No, it’s not. I use a VPS because I don’t want to run my computer 24/7 and I don’t want FL to use my computer’s resources while I’m online.

You can find links of VPS/proxy providers on my blog in the sidebar.

What is the right word to input in the Relevant field? is it “FLC:” only or “FLC:(username)”

    thank you.

    1. Hi,

The correct word is “FLC”. There was an update in FollowLiker 1 week ago, which changed the way FLC works and my guide was written a month ago. I will update the FLC part when I have some free time.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  19. hello Risto
    very good tutorial
    1 ) each proxy offers 1 iP ?
2 ) I ‘ve used 5 user accounts on iP from my computer if I delete these 5 Faloowliker users of all, I can add 5 more accounts with the same iP computardor without using the proxy?
    3 ) What happens if I do not use a VPS ?
    4) Which VPS do you recommend me to windows 8 ?
5 ) I run the risk Instagram block me forever?

    1. Hi,

      1) Yes, one proxy = one IP address. A proxy is basically an IP address.
      2) I’m not sure how safe is that. That means 10 accounts under the same IP address. I personally wouldn’t do that, but if you have no other choice I understand your reasons.
      3) Nothing, you will have to run the bot on your personal computer.
      4) I’m not sure what you mean about the Windows 8 part, but I have 2 recommended VPS providers on the right side of my blog.
      5) I don’t understand your question. There is always a ‘risk’ in Internet Marketing. But if you’re wise and play it smartly, you will most likely never get in trouble.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  20. 6) the last question is that I’m already following 3671 people , for five days , but only 500 followers I won , I’m sorry for that .
what I can do to get more results followers?

    1. Hi,

That is a follow-back rate of 15%, which isn’t that bad. To get better results, you have to tweak your settings, especially the way you scrape users.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  21. hi Risto
1 ) I can not understand what it means to ” scrape users ” could you explain me more clearly the meaning and what it does please ?
excuse is that I can not speak English, I just do translation by Google Translate .
    thank you

    1. Hi,

“Scrape Users” means searching for users basically and saving their usernames. Based on what queries you give FL, it will go on Instagram and search for users. For example, if you give it a query “Users Who Tagged” and “#fashion” it will look for users who posted a picture in that hashtag and save them in the database. Later on, it will use those users to follow them.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  22. hello Risto
1 ) what strategy to gain more followers on instagram with followliker ?
2 ) what is the fastest way to get followers?

    thank you!!

    1. Hi,

      1) It really depends what you want to do. But if you want to be safe, I’d say the strategy to gain the most followers would be to follow people highly targeted in your niche as well as like pictures. Make sure your content is good as well, because people pay attention to that as well.
      2) There are many ways to get followers, but most of them will cost you money, such as shoutouts, mentions, having more accounts posting comments tagging your main and so on.

      Best regards,
      Risto

    1. Hi LIONG,

Did you read the part “Creating A New Global Project”? I have explained how to create a global wizard there.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. hi ,

thanks for reply i find it , thank you very much .
i think if usrd Global Project limit follow much be more , it is mean total limit for all account .

        1. Hi,

The “Follow Limit” is for each account separately, not for all the accounts in total I think. Not completely though.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  23. Hi Risto. Thank you for always responding 🙂

    I got more questions,

    1) I have 10 accounts with 2 accounts per niche
    – How Can I make these accounts with same niche to not follow and like the same user?
    – I know that you can do this by using Global Settings, however I got 10 accounts with 5 niches in it, is there other way other than opening 5 FL instances to separate them?

    2) How to get 500 daily followers? can you give tips and advice?

    Thanks and Regards,
    Stephen

    1. Hi Stephen,

      1) I think there’s no way to do this other than using Global Wizard.

      2) To get 500 followers daily, I would recommend doing SFS. It’s hard to get 500 followers only by following/liking, but as you grow bigger you will be getting more and more. And also SFS helps as I said 🙂

      Best regards,
      Risto

        1. Hi,

I’ve gotten 400-500 followers in one day a lot of times, maybe even more. But that happened only on my bigger accounts. 🙂

          Best regards,
          Risto

  24. Thanks for all of your help so far!

I am just getting started but your tutorial is really helpful.

If I only want to follow and like, would I change the query to FL instead of FLC?

    1. Hi Fitz,

The query is always “FLC”, regardless of what you want to do. If you want to follow and like only, don’t tick “Comment” in the first screen.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Thanks!

I went to sleep last night and FL only followed like an extra 20 people. Do you think my settings are wrong or do you think it has something to do with the fact that my computer wen to sleep?

        1. Hi,

I’m pretty sure your computer goes “offline” if it’s put to sleep. You have to keep it running all the time.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  25. Actually disregard that last question! This question is much more important:

Question: I just downloaded a VNC but I’m not sure why. I think Im suppose to use it to control my VNS. Is that correct?

Am I suppose to purchase a VNS and control the VNS from a VNC? If so, please explain why.

    1. Hi,

I’m not sure what do you mean by “VNS”. As for “VNC”, that’s a software for remote desktop access. With VNC you could see the graphical interface of your server (if you mean VPS instead of VNS).

VNC is mostly used for Mac/Linux operating systems, if your server runs on Windows, you could use RDP or Team Viewer, I think that would be better.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  26. Hi,

This post is very helpful Great work!

But I have a question. In “liking photos” you write:

“I personally recommend using the “Relevant” query type. It gives you the opportunity to
scrape photos based on a particular keyword or hashtag, which is very useful.”

I have 3 accounts with 3 different niches:

    – photo with motivational quotes
    – quotes from movies
    – hot girls

I know how to set up “follow setting”, but how to set up “liking setting” in this niches?

Example: My followers in “hot girls” account niche don’t use any hashtags or keywoords, they have usually 2 or 3 photos, and they are men, it’s not a lot information. How to set up followliker to found pictures of people who are interested in this niche ?

Sorry for my English and thank you in advance for your answer

    Kamil

    1. Hi Kamil,

Thanks for the kind words, highly appreciated. 🙂

As for choosing hashtags for “hot girls” niche, I would recommend using hashtags which mostly are targeted by men. There are also other hashtags that could be used, such as #kikme #snapchatme or something similar. Lastly, if you totally have no ideas you could see what your competitors are doing and try to get some ideas off them.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  27. I have my settings to follow/like/like a few niche accts.

Your instructions for follow/like/comment differs from FL tutorial.

Your tutorial states to set the query to “normal search” FL tutorial states to set it to “users followers”.

    Which should I use?

    1. Hi,

If you are referring to the FLC part, my tutorial has not been updated. There was an update in FollowLiker a few days ago that changed the way FLC works and I haven’t had time to update my tutorial. I will do it in the upcoming days for sure.

The correct way is to use “User’s Followers” and type “FLC:username” as query.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  28. What are the best settings for Follow/like/like in your opinion. I plan to run 10 accts 24/7.

I know its a bit different fro your recommended settings of only following.

    1. Hi,

To be honest, there are no “best” settings. Everyone recommends different settings. If you want to find the settings which suit you the most, you have to do various testing. I personally recommend 500-600 followings per day and 900-1200 likes per day.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  29. Hi,

I insatlled FL onto my VPS and copied my current project onto the new installed version, and it worked for a few hours. Then it stopped. FL gave me a message saying the files were corrupt.

I tried to restart FL and it won’t work even when I reinstall it onto my VPS.

I went back to my laptop to see if it still working and it works fine.

The only problem is now when I check my activity log, it says already following user. So basically its trying to follow users that i am already following.

I think this happened because I operated on VPS for a few hours and then when it crashed I didn’t update the files on my laptop. Does this sound accurate to you?

So I have a few questions:

    1. Do you think FL stopped working on my VPS because it was already installed on my laptop?
    2. How can I successfully transfer to my VPS
    3. How can I fix it to where FL is no longer trying to follow users who I am already following? is there a solution, or do i just have to wait until it cycles through all of those ppl again?

    1. Hi,

      1. It’s possible, because as far as I know, FollowLiker can only be installed on one computer and it’s locked with hardware ID. Hence, if you have installed it on your VPS, you won’t be able to use it on your laptop and otherwise. You have to send them a ticket and ask for a license reset.
      2. You have to first send a ticket to FollowLiker team and ask them to reset your license and then install the software on the VPS. After that move the backups.
      3. You could try clearing the scraped users and let FollowLiker scrape new ones if it’s trying to follow the same users. Make sure you tick “Show Advanced Options” and in the second screen click “Scraped Users”.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  30. Hello thanks again for this amazing tutorial! I have a questions I have 3 account running on a VPS. The problem is that followliker is not putting out the number of likes it supposed to be putting out. Here are my current settings…

    General:
    automation level: 4-6min

    I am running the following:

    Scrap user
    Follow
    Scrape photo
    Like
    Unfollow

    I am shuffling tasks.

I have the following setting in Global wizard:

    Scrape user:
    Limit:40
    I have 35 queries
I have all 3 options checked off

    Scrape photo:
    Photo limit: 2
only have scrape top results checked
    I have 44 queries

    follow user settings:
    Ratio: 0.00
    Follow limit:10-20
    Daily limit: 500-600
    delay: 50sec-70sec
    ignore private users
    Follow user once

    unfollow user settings:
    Ratio: 0.00
    unfollow after: 0
    unfollow limit: 5-10
    daily limit: 500-610
    delay 50sec-70sec
    Blacklist list unfollows

    Like photo settings:
    like limit: 15-25
    daily like limit: 800-1000
    delay: 15sec-25sec
    Like photo only once

I am running 24/7 the bot is doing about 500-560 follow a day, about 490-530 unfollows, and 73-264 likes.

    Any ideas?

    1. Hi,

Are you using FLC by any chance? And why do you have so many queries for scraping? Do you think all of them are really necessary?

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. I am doing follow, liking, and unfollow. At the moment don’t want to run the chances of getting banned because of commenting.

As far as the queries I figure the more the merrier. What do you think is best in term of a max number of queries?

  31. First off, TREMENDOUS work, Risto. Thank you a zillion times.

Just a quick question.. When I add the same FLC:account in both the scraping of users and scraping of photos, does that mean that the following/liking/commenting of said account will occur simultaneously?

I mean, will it like and comment at the same exact time as it follows? Or can it follow at 12:30 AM and then like their pictures at 1:20 PM?

    Thank you!

    1. Hi,

No, it will not follow/like/comment simultaneously. It still shuffles from task to task. You can check the Activity Log as well.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  32. Risto,

Much respect for writing this guide. You should sell it to FollowLiker for sure.

Question about the FLC settings. If I want to use follow like strategy, would the proper setting be for scraping users that are following a particular username that is in my niche:

    FLC:username Query Type: User’s Follower

Just making sure because your guide has different info.

    Thanks!

  33. Hi Risto,

I have just a few more questions.

    1. My general automation interval is currently set at 20-40 seconds, and I am running follow like settings on 3 accts. Do you think thats too low?
    2. My main acct activity log ha been saying that max limit of follows have been reached and its not even half way through the day yet. Does that mean my settings are too high, also should I turn it off once it says daily limits have been reached?
    3. My personal acct has reached close to 7500 followers. It started giving errors, I’m guessing because close to total follow limit. Any suggestions on settings for once you get close to 7500. also what are good unfollow settings?

    1. Hi,

      1. It depends. If you’re doing FLC, I think it’s alright, considering FLC does only 1 like per task, you need lower delay if you want to reach your limits. If you’re not doing FLC, it might be too low. I wouldn’t use such a low delay without using FLC.
      2. I don’t think so, I also reach the limits in less than 24 hours but I keep running FollowLiker anyway, it won’t follow/like anymore after reaching the limits, it will only update the counters of your account(s).
      3. What kind of errors? And I’m currently having issues with unfollowing due to new updates on Instagram 2 days ago. Trying to figure out new settings now.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  34. Hi Risto,

Just a quick question slightly off topic – do you have any recommendations for SFS partners / accounts as I may be looking to get into this while using FL.

Specifically in the fashion/photography industry if possible.

    Thanks

    1. Hi,

If you want to get into SFS, I would highly recommend sending direct message(s) to other account(s) in your niche(s). Looking for them on websites and forums usually isn’t a good idea, because many people have bad account(s). Search for them on Instagram itself and send them a DM asking for SFS. Some of them also have contacts in their bio, you could also try e-mailing them or talking on Kik/Skype (or whatever they have).

      Best regards,
      Risto

  35. Risto,

Ok please let me know as soon as you figure out what the new unfollow settings should be. I will put my acct on hold until then.

    1. Hi,

Will try my best, but it’s quite hard. I tried new settings today, pretty slow ones and I got blocked.

150-20 Automation Time (General > Settings)
      4-8 unfollow limit
      50-70 delay
      400-500 daily limit

And I was blocked after 250-300 unfollows for doing it too fast, which makes no sense, because it’s like ~45 per hour only. I think the next time I’ll try doing less and see how it goes.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  36. Risto,

I am finally comfortable enough with FL to create more accounts. I plan to purchase proxies from ssl private proxies.

    1. Is igerslike allowing acct creating again yet?

    2. can I use the proxies to tartan acct form my smart phone? or will my device id flag the acct?

    3. Once I start an acct with a proxy, should I input that same exact proxy inside FL to run the Ig acct on?

    1. Hi,

      1. Igerslike account creator is still allowing to create accounts, however, some people told me they couldn’t, because their proxies were getting flagged.
      2. I don’t think it’s a good idea to use proxies on your phone if you’re gonna use the same device ID.
      3. Yes, I would highly recommend using the same proxy you used for creation in FL as well.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  37. hello Risto.
1 ) I wonder if it is better to install applications that change computer IP, such as: hola ?
2 ) Do you have any suggestions for any application that changes the ip of free computer?
    3) You can tell me some software to win a lot of likes ? because my account does not have many likes. I thank you .

    1. Hi,

      1) I’m not sure what Hola is. But you generally don’t want to change the IP address every time you log in. You want to keep the same IP address.
      2) I don’t really know any, but pretty sure they do exist. Google “free VPN” or something like that.
      3) AddMeFast or any other exchange service I guess. Although I wouldn’t recommended getting such likes.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  38. hi Risto
1 ) I bought 5 ips in SSL PRIVATEPROXY , however I am unable to put the ip in my followliker , of entering the ip in my FL, is saying is incorrect. can you explain me step by step how to enter the ip in FL ?
    2) you know any application that follows users of Instagram by gender : male and female ?
3 ) you can explain in detail what a VPS and what it does ?
    4) what happens if I do not use a VPS ?
    I thank you,

    1. Hi,

      1) The correct format is “ip:port”. Anything other than that is incorrect.
      2) No, that’s currently not possible, because Instagram doesn’t give out that info. Unless that program uses some kind of database for names, then it’s different. But I don’t know any.
      3) VPS = Virtual Private Server. It’s basically a computer that is running 24/7 and you have full control over it.
      4) Nothing. You will use your own computer.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  39. Hey again Risto!

    Quick question(s).
    1)
-In Scrape Followers I have “FLC:username” and “User’s Followers”.
-In Scrape Photos I have “FLC:username” and Relevant

upon doing this, my Scrape Photo is FILLED with thousands of queries in the form of Users, which have the Query type “User’s Photo”

    Is this normal?

    2)
I notice that you have a very low scrape photo limit (2-3) when you do the FLC-tactic, while you have a very much higher number when you like based on hashtags, etc.

Right now I am adding BOTH queries in the form of FLC:username and general #hashtags & keywords at the same time (when scraping PHOTOS), is this counter-productive? Should I only do one at a time?

For example: two weeks do only FLC:username, next two weeks only do #hashtags and keywords.

    Thank you Risto!!!!!

    1. Hi Gustav,

      1. Yes, that is normal. FL saves the users as queries in “Scrape Photo” and later it scrapes their photos (depending what you set the limit to).

      2. I’m not sure if that’s a good idea to do both at once. Because you can’t alter the settings as you want. If you set it to more than 2-3, you will like more than 2-3 pictures of each user, which is wasted likes.

You can try switching from time to time and see which one brings the best results and stick to it.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Thank you Risto!

Should I sometime delete the users that get saved? For example, when I stop doing the FLC: and only like from hashtags and keywords?

        Thank you

    1. Hi Fitz,

Not really to be honest, I’ve tried with less than 30/hr unfollowing and I’m still not able to finish the daily limit of 400-500.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  40. Hey do you have any experience using bought PVA accounts on FL, each using a private proxy? I bought a couple PVA accounts, set them up on FL but I’m not sure how to go about changing the profile image and details safely without triggering any flags.

    TIA

    1. Hi,

I have never purchased any Instagram accounts. I always made my own. You can not change the account details with FollowLiker unfortunately. You will have to either use the Instagram application or other software than FollowLiker.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  41. Risto,

FL is saying one of my accounts login credentials is incorrect when I know that its correct. Any suggestions on how to fix?

    1. Hi,

Have you tried removing the account and adding it again? And also, make sure to try typing it slowly 1 by 1 and not copy-paste, because sometime when you copy it adds an additional new line or white space at the end.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  42. How do you like the pictures of users who liked a photo?
I managed to scrape the users. But how do you set it to like their pictures?
Is this something to do with the FLC command?

Great guide for anyone looking to use this software. Thank you.

    1. Hi,

Choose “Users Who Liked” as a Query Type and write the URL/Picture ID of the photo in the Query.

If you want to like their pictures instead, you have to do it with the FLC command. Tick “Scrape Photo” and “Like” and import the users in the “Scrape Photo” queries but make sure the query type is “User’s Photo” for each user.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  43. Risto hello , I have difficulty putting the proxy to work on my followliker , Could you explain in detail step by step please , please?
If you fazesse a tutorial on the proxy would be great for me and for many people who have any questions
    THANK YOU

    1. Hi,

Once you get your proxies from the provider, there should be an ip address and port for each of them. When you’re adding a new account, there is a field for proxy, simply type the ip address and port there in format IP:PORT and that’s all you have to do.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  44. hi,Risto

    when using FLC,

•To target users who liked a photo or a photo that has a particular word/tag in its caption, select “Users Who Liked” under “Query Type”, enter FLC: plus the keyword/hashtag/photo ID/photo URL in the “Query” field and save. Example: FLC:beach

what does it mean by the photo URL? is it just https://instagram.com/p/XXXXXX

    Hope for ur reply.
    thx.

    thx.

  45. risto, i love you bro, ive learned a lot from you.. thankyou so much for posting.
    but i have one question..

at my like section, i usually put FLC:username. but sometimes FL doesnt scrape photos and doesnt like any photos. does this happen to you too? it can only do follow and like, but cant do unfollow + like

    1. Hi,

FLC is a little bugged with liking, so it does happen sometimes, yes. Normally, it works fine without FLC.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  46. Hey im sorry to bother you i was curious to know that when i enter specific queries an i wanted to add multiple hashtags or keywords for a specific query type do i have to create new queries every time for each hash tag or can i use a comma followed by a space then the other word? for example if my query type is set to relevant an i wanted multiple hash tags used do i need to set multiple relevant query types followed by 1 hash tag or can i do lets say #followliker, #followlikers, #follower, #follow, #etc, #etc etc

    1. Hi,

You have to add a new query for each hashtag. If you add them all at one query, it will search for all of them at once, which means the photo must contain all of them.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  47. Hi Risto!

    Absolutely great tutorial!

One question: After 5 days with FLC and 2 accounts that happend:

I cannot search any hashtags anymore. It seems like it is frozen and doesnt get updatet any more. On all accounts (even my private without FLC) the same happened. FLC Statistics says that Following, liking and unfollowing is working as normal…

Is this a warning signal from Instagram? Do you have any experience with that. It is now since 14h like this..

    thanks & regards

    Michael

    1. Hi,

I’ve heard about this problem, it apparently was a temporary problem on Instagram’s side. The hashtags were not updated for some reason, but it’s been fixed now.

  48. Hey Risto, thank you so much for this, just bought FL and it’s really really helpful.

So, if I only want to like the photos of the followers of a specific user, what do I do?
Do I just check Scrape user and Like and then put FLC:username and query type “User’s Following” for every user’s followers photos that I want to like?

    Thank’s again

    1. Hi,

Check “Scrape User”, “Scrape Photo” and “Like”. Then type “FLC:username” in “Scrape User” and choose “User’s Follower”. In “Scrape Photo” type “FLC” and choose “Relevant”.

That should be it, I guess. Let me know if I missed something.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  49. Hi Risto,

    Thanks for your great tutorial!
I’m new to this, I have used to settings you have described.
The program is running and the statistics say follows = 56, however my following count is not going up on my page, can you help?

    cheers,
    Antony

    1. Hi,

You might be temporary blocked from following in that case. Try to follow manually in your phone and see if it works.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  50. Hi Risto,
i want to scrape user’s followers and then export them to list.
what’s the settings? i’ve try on my own but it seems not work.
    Wait for your kind help.
    Regards.
    Dragon

    1. Hi,

To scrape user’s followers, click on “Scrape User” and select “User’s Follower” and type the username in the query box.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  51. Hello Risto, Can you please share with me the new updated follow settings wich are u using by the moment? I’m not sure about what to use and I want to be in the safe side.

  52. Is there any program you recommend white listing with? I am curious if I white list with crowdfire …will followliker figure out my list?

Or do I need to export it somehow and then import (csv) back into FL?

  53. hello 1st thanx for awesome tutorial it’s helped me a lot

i have Question about using proxy
i have VPS and i bought Instagram Proxies but i can’t make it run with the program

    1. Hi,

What do you mean exactly? The proxies won’t work with FollowLiker/VPS? If so, you have to authorize the IP address of your VPS in the proxy.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  54. Awesome user guide! Thank you for taking the time to make this much easier to understand. Im new to Follow Liker so wasnt sure what settings to use. Im not looking to be aggressive either with my instagram account. Question, is there a way to set up FL to follow/unfollow on specific days? For ex: Follow Friday, Saturday & Sunday and Unfollow Mon, Tue, Wed, Thurs & Fri?

    Again, thank you!

      1. Thank you for the quick response! After 5 days of everything working nicely it just slowed down by alot. I checked to see if I can follow, like etc manually on my phone and that all works there. I also check my FL software on my computer and all is normal there. Im only running one account. The other thing I noticed is, I set to unfollow after 3 days, it wasnt doing that function at all. I manually unfollowed slowly to prevent myself from being temp banned

1.Should I remove this project and redo it again? Or do I have to change the settings of users and/or hashtags?

        Best,
        Abe

        1. Hi,

Make sure the sources from which you are scraping users to follow are fresh and there are new users continuously. As for unfollowing, depending on the amount of followings you have, it might take FL a while to retrieve all of them.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  55. Great guide! This was to great help!

I always get this error when finishing the custom settings wizard though:
    https://gyazo.com/56913d37c5cae767a6ecf6ca13d9e527
Also, it can’t log in to my account for some reason. It might have something to do with what’s above or maybe there’s something wrong with my proxies. I bought them from Proxy-N-VPN.
I’m also running it on a VPS, if that makes any difference.

    1. Hi,

I’ve literally never seen that error, let alone face it. But I don’t think it has to do with your proxies, maybe it has to do with FollowLiker itself. Have you tried to contact their support?

      Best regards,
      Risto

  56. I’m curious – has anyone ever had trouble with Follow Liker following and unfollowing the same person multiple times? I’ve gotten complaints from people that I keep following and unfollowing them.

Before you ask, yes I blacklist all my unfollows 🙂

    1. Hi,

I’ve never had this problem. Make sure to check the blacklist for that specific account and see if the user that complains is there.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  57. Hi Risto,

    Great GREAT tutorial! Good job!
I am more into engagement that no. of followers, therefore i tend to unfollow also users that are following but not liking my photos.
    1. Is there a way to unfollow specific list of users?
    2. And is there a way to unfollow “ghost” followers (that never liked/ commented)?

    Tnx
    Sebastian

    1. Hi,

I do tend to grow engagement on my accounts as well. Followers don’t mean much if your engagement is bad. Engagement plays a bigger role than amount of followers, so keep it up 🙂

      1. Yes, there is, you have to upload them in your following list manually, then check only “Unfollow” and don’t retrieve existing followers and followings.
      2. I don’t think there is a way. There used to be a way long time ago but a few months ago Instagram introduced a new limit which shows only 120 users maximum that liked a picture. That caused all the tools to stop working, because they can’t see all the likers/commenters of your pictures.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  58. Hello risto, how can i contact u through email? I got some questions to ask & need to attach photo together with my question. Thanks mate..

  59. Hello Sir:
I have found your great guide about Followliker.
Before I buy this product through your link, I have some questions:

    1) Can I use Bluestacks for using IG on my desktop or can I use IG on my desktop without any software?

    2) I want to start with 30 IG Accounts.
How many proxies do I need and where can I get them?

    3) Do I need some special Hosting Account for the proxies? I only have the babyplan by Hostgator?
If yes, what would you recommand me?

    4) What niches would you recommand to earn some good money?

Thanks a lot for any help.

    Best Regards
    Peter Huber

    1. Hi,

      1) You can use Instagram on Desktop by their website instagram.com, but not all the features are available.
      2) You could get 10 proxies, that would be enough. I have added recommended proxy providers on my blog.
      3) No, you don’t need hosting for proxies. You need actual proxy IPs.
      4) That’s up for you to research.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Hello
Thanks a lot for your great help.
        But I have another question:
        – What features cannot be used on desktop?

        Thanks,
        Peter

        1. Hi,

There are many features that can not be used. Some of which are: uploading photos, reading direct messages and much more. I think only the very basic features are included in the web version.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  60. Hi Risto,

Thank you so much for the article! Helped me loads!

    1. I was wondering with the settings that you showed above for (following, unfollowing, commenting and liking) how many followers are you gaining per day?
    2. Do you think that those settings are maximising efficiency?
    3. I want to gain more followers per day so I want your opinion on whether I can/should up those numbers and still stay in the safe zone?
    4. If so, how often should I increase the numbers and how much each time?

    Thanks again!

    Best Regards,
    Chris

    1. Hi,

      1) The amount of followers you gain depends on many factors, some of which are your current amount, the niche you’re in, the quality of pictures, the users you follow and so on.
      2) Well, you surely can do more, but I wouldn’t recommend it without knowing what you’re doing.
      3) Yes, you can do that in my opinion.
      4) That again comes with experience and it’s not something static that can be explained. You need to just increase by a little bit and monitor the outcome.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  61. Hello ,

first of all thanks so much for this guide and the effort u took its really amazing and helpfull for new members like me 🙂

i wanted to ask some questions so i can get a better account.

do u have a emailadress or skype?

    thanks in advance,

    Jimmy

    1. Hi,

Yes, I do have. You can contact me through the contact page on my blog and it will be forwarded to my e-mail.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  62. Hi, Risto,

I bought it some weeks ago, these times, i just run four accounts not assign the proxy, now i want to increase some accounts, but I can not know how to set proxy, IP:80:myPROXY-USERNAME:PROXY-PASSWORD, it showed wrong at my followliker, and it not work, if i need to contact my proxy agency or how to get the authentication??? Really need your help!!

    Thanks
    Joyce

    1. Hi,

You will be given your proxies already set up after buying. All you have to do is authorize the IP address you in your panel or use the username/password provided.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  63. Hi there, thank so much for this guide, so useful.

I bought 10 PVA accounts and I have some questions.

    1) What is the diference betwen a Private/dedicated proxy and a Instagram Proxy?
    2) I want to create 1 main account where I don’t use bot, and 10 (or more in the future) bot accounts to spam the main account. How could I do this?

    1. Hi,

      1) No real difference. Instagram proxies are basically private/dedicated proxies that have never been used for Instagram before.
      2) Create the account and don’t use a proxy while creating it I guess. Use it on your phone only.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Thank you for your help! But I don’t really know how to send traffic from my bot accounts to my Main account. How can I do that whitout getting banned fast? Thank you!

        1. Hi,

Not sure what you’re trying to do exactly, but if you’re trying to spam comments promoting your main accounts, you can’t be safe that way. You should think of different strategy or maybe tweak your current one a bit to prevent further bans.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  64. Great tutorial!! I just bought FL yesterday & have configured everything but cannot find anywhere that explains specifically how to send a video DM to new scraped followers? Do you know where I can go to get this info?

    Thanks!

  65. Hey, thanks for your tutorial. I was having a hard time with FL, but I see that there were a few things that I was doing wrong. Please let me know if you do a Twitter or Pinterest tutorial. Or if I could hire you to run some traffic for me to those accounts.

    Thanks!

    Dee McK

  66. Hello Risto,

I usually unfollow my new followers. So, how can I unfollow a specific list of users, or how can I unfollow accounts that already followed me back?

    Thank your very much brother!!

    1. Hi,

To unfollow a specific list only, simply import the list of users you want to unfollow and then disable FollowLiker’s scraping of your existing ones.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  67. Risto sorry one more question,

Do you think FL automatically discard, block or detects my accounts followers list from following them if found in another accounts who i’m scraping users to follow?

Example: lets say like blacklist function but without adding them manually to the blacklist.

I really appreciate all your help.

    thanks

    1. Hi,

If I understood your question correctly, you want to avoid following the same users on multiple accounts. If so, you have to use a Global Wizard type of project for that.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  68. I had a question about setting up multiple queries for scrape user settings. Lets say for example, that I want to run a project which scrapes user’s follower with the hypothetical account names of, “bicycles, skateboards, and pogos”.

1.) Is there a way to separate the values for the query? (Can I simply create one query and list multiple words separated by commas?)

2.) When you have multiple queries listed, does FWL scrape only the users who match all the listed conditions, or does FWL scrape users who match any of the listed conditions?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi,

      1) If you create one query with multiple values, it will take it as one query and will attempt to search for users with the exact query, which is not really ideal. For example if you add #fitness #girl #gym as one query, it will attempt to search for users that used all the 3 hashtags in their picture.

      2) When you add multiple queries, each one is taken individually. So if you have 3 different queries for #fitness #girl and #gym, it will search them independently from each other. It will search for #fitness, then for #girl and then for #gym.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  69. Thank for the step by step tutorial, Just want to know one more settings, I have tried but its not worked yet,

Suppose i have collected a list of 10k users, Now I want to Like two pictures of each users.

    1. Hi,

If you have scraped a list of users and want to like their pictures, you have to manually import each user in “Scrape Photo” and select “User’s Photo”.

      Best regards,
      Risto

    1. Hi,

The best way to do this would be to go in “Scrape Photo”, add 2-3 queries manually and then export them. Open the exported file and see how it’s formatted, then format your import file the same way and just import it.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  70. Hey, cool guide which I’ve used to help me progress rapidly!
Instagram have just changed their ways again though so likes in general appear to down on all accounts.
I want to DM all my 25k users but can’t work out the best way to do so?
I assume, using the method above, it’s DM and u click “retrieve all followers.”
Is there any way of controlling that though so I can see who the DMs have gone too?

    Cheers

    Adam

    1. Hi,

Yes, I think you can see which users you’ve sent a DM to with FollowLiker. When you open the list of “Followers” or “Followings”, you can see a column called “Mailed By”. I think that one is related to direct messaging.

      Best regards,
      Risto

    1. Hi,

Make sure the “Unfollow” is not enabled while following and “Follow” is not enabled while unfollowing.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  71. Also wondering about using my laptop at home with my ISP, and sometimes using my phone at home, or if I am away?

Or do you recommend I don’t use my phone while using my laptop?

Thanks again, you can merge my comments, and appreciate this thorough guide!!

    1. Hi,

You could use your laptop, no problems at all. You could also use your phone as well, I don’t think it would cause any problems. However, if you doing following, liking and other stuff on your bot, try to avoid doing it on your phone at the same time, you could use it for browsing in the meanwhile.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Awesome advice, appreciate the work you do and for your quick comment.

Just to follow up for you saying not to follow and unfollow at the same time.

So, in order to be able to follow, unfollow, and like pictures all at once I would have to right click, “custom settings” , then wizard, and check all the boxes at once?

  72. Hi, i wanted to ask about running a VPS, How do you do it?

Do you actually need a physical machine yourself?

I am a novice at VPS and would appreciate any help or guidance you can give me

    Many Thanks

    1. Hi,

You don’t necessary need a physical machine yourself, you could control your VPS from a smart phone as well. But yes, you do need a way to connect to the VPS and control it.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  73. hi Risto
that a very cool guide with a large informations more than the officiel site
1.if i order this bot i will receive the dowload link on email?
2.if i want to change my PC or vps how i get the bot

    1. Hi,

      1. Yes, you will get a download link in your e-mail.
      2. You can change your PC/VPS by resetting the license. FollowLiker can only be installed on one computer at a time.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  74. Hi Risto, I know you get a lot of VPS questions but I read through and I am still kind of confused. I have a Mac and am looking to get followliker for Instagram. Now do I need to install the Mac version of followliker and use a mac VPS or do I install the windows version of followliker to run on a windows VPS? Basically what I am asking is the followliker version dependent on the operating system of the VPS or of my computer itself? Would I need to install windows on my Mac?

    1. Hi Shawn,

If you’re planning on using a VPS, I’d recommend you to get a Windows one. It comes with pre-installed operating system (Windows) and other basic features you might need.

You don’t have to install anything at all on your own computer, all you have to do is connect to the VPS (which is just another computer running somewhere) from your Mac and control it (install FollowLiker and so on).

      Best regards,
      Risto

  75. Thanks for your quick reply, just a couple more things:
    1) So I can control a Windows VPS on my Mac operating system?
    2) Using a VPS with followliker, I first obtain the VPS then install followliker onto the VPS as the windows version of followliker?
    3) When I go to configure my Solid Seo VPS it asks for the hostname, do I have to purchase a domain for the hostname? Can you just go into more depth as to what the hostname is and what I need to put for it.

    Thanks again.

  76. Thank you very much for this awesome tutorial. I can imagine that you spent a lot of time on it.
maybe you can answer me why with your Settings new followers won’t get a DM.

Can you check your screenshots for any mistakes?
i checked everything more than once.

    thank you!

    1. Hi,

New followers will get a DM, as long as you are scraping for existing followers and followings. Make sure that the DM task is running and it’s not DMing older followers.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  77. Hi, ans thanl ypu for this awesome tutorial ! I ve à question for an expert like you : Is it possible to cross queries ? For exemple, scrape users who follows Microsoft AND are geolocalized on New York. I m not talking about two différent queries, but one queries with two “filters”.

Thanks à lot, Have à Nice Day 🙂

    1. Hi,

That is not possible unfortunately. Instagram itself doesn’t allow that in first place, so there’s no way to make a bot for it either.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  78. Hello
Many thanks for your time and this amazing tutorial!!
this is the first day that i am using FL and i got about 50 followers in about 550 following!!! i am very sad! every time i am changing setting when i get information in this tutorial!
I bought this FL to handle & boost my client accounts . so I need a strategy to how should I start thinking and set all my needs correctly!!
can u plz help me how can I create queries in :
    1- scrape user settings
    2- scrape photo settings
    3-crawl setting i didn’t understand all it!!
4- when i am trying to import queries from external file should i change query type for each of them!?
!?as example an account is about (finance business & advisor on Family Business) and this client need to boost his account in 3 countries only!
5- should I use in query hashtags or keywords and plz give an idea how can I start collect queries for my works as brainstorming!?!
THANKS VERY MUCH RISTO for all the answers with apologize to prolong Questions!

    1. Hi,

To create queries simply right click in the table and then select “New”. Then follow the instructions. I’ve explained this part in the tutorial as well.

The same also applies for scraping photos as well. However, make sure that you have checked both boxes for scraping users and photos in the first screen of the wizard.

Crawl is used for scraping posts from a RSS-feed, which FL will use to post on your account(s).

If are importing queries, they will be imported as they were when you exported them. There won’t be any changes made, so if you need to change anything, you will have to do it again.

I would recommend hashtags, as keywords are not really good source of scraping users/photos. Pretty much everyone on Instagram uses hashtags. To understand hashtags and choose the best one, you should do your own research in your niche and see which hashtags are the highest performing and from there you can do more research and see which other hashtags the users are using. Then take everything you got from your research and think which of those hashtags would be the most useful in your campaign and try them out.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Thanks very much for your help!
but if u can plz give me an example about crawl because in your tutorial and FL tutorial not found in details.
And about import queries from external csv file i tried it in 3 queries each one in a line when imported added 3 queries each one in row but the query type N/V so each row should I need to specify the type!?
what about FLC can u plz give me an example?!
        thanks for your helps

        1. Hi,

The crawl option should be pretty simple. You just put the link to the RSS feed and FL does everything else. I personally haven’t used it yet, but if I do so in the future, I’ll update the tutorial as well.

As for importing queries, you need to have them with query type as well. You have to specify the query type for each row.

You can see FLC examples in the tutorial, I’ve explained it already. I’ll update it with more information in the future.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  79. Hi,
I’m running one Instagram account (email verified, phone verified, 1 year old, 50K followers), and I’m managing it with my phone to upload photos, change profile pic, like etc.
But I want to use FollowLiker in a VPS with a Proxy to make the Follow/Unfollow work.

So, have I a risk of ban if I’m using my Phone with an IP from my country, while FollowLiker is running with a Proxy from another country ?
Instagram Will see two activities, from 2 different countries.

Do you think it could be a problem or IG is tolerant with that ?

Thanks a lot, Have a Nice Day

    1. Hi,

I’ve managed accounts from two different countries in the past and I haven’t had problems with it in my experience. Instagram will be cautious at the beginning and ask for phone verification, password reset and other stuff, but after you convince them that it’s you, they will stop bothering you and everything will be fine.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  80. Hi there, thank you for your time! Wow!

Could you help me in choosing a VPS? More specifically, what specs should I get to handle FollowLiker very smoothly? I don’t even know half the terminology… How many cores and such? Does this matter? Price ranges vastly.

    Thanks!

    1. Hi,

I wouldn’t recommend you getting a very strong VPS for FollowLiker only, because it doesn’t need a lot of resources to run.

If you’re just getting started and probably won’t be using a lot of accounts, you should get the smallest possible plan (usually costs like ~$20).

I personally recommend Solid SEO VPS and Shape Host.

As you grow bigger and start managing more accounts, you can upgrade your plan. But I definitely recommend starting low. There is no point in buying a very strong VPS and not using even half of the resources it offers.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  81. I have a FL setup to automatically upload pictures and captions from a specific folder. Is it possible for FL to automatically comment on my pictures shortly after they are posted? I am hoping to include various hashtags in the comment. Any direction would be great! Thanks in advance

    1. Hi,

I’m not exactly sure whether it’s possible or not, but I’ll give you an idea to try.

Make a new project and add your account. Then check the “Scrape Photo” and “Comment”. In “Scrape Photo” settings, add a query “User’s Photos” and then type your username. That should be scraping the photos of your accounts and then it will comment on them.

I have not tested this method, so I can’t really tell if it’s gonna work or not. But in theory, it sounds good.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  82. Hi Risto,
Thanks for this great information. Earlier you mentioned:

“Hey Risto, you said not to follow and unfollow at the same time.

How do you do that in follow liker?

    Hi,

Make sure the “Unfollow” is not enabled while following and “Follow” is not enabled while unfollowing.

    Best regards,
    Risto”

So this is a manual thing that you turn off and on, correct?

after how many days do you switch back and forth?

    Thanks

    1. Hi,

I switch from unfollowing to following when I reach the maximum amount of followings, which is 7,500.

After I unfollow back to 0, I start following again. And so on.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Is there a way to automate the switching from following to unfollowing? Or would we have to manually check when we reach 7500 on each account and go in to change the settings to unfollow? Thank you!

        1. Hi,

I don’t know of any way to automate this process. But if you find out any, please let me know. 🙂

          Best regards,
          Risto

  83. Hi Risto,

Mannn! you explanation is FANTASTIC!. I need your help. in the checklist of Followliker website its written that Followliker has ( Auto Mention Service ) which means @username in comments. Can you please guide me on how to Auto mention large number of usernames using Followliker. If followliker does not support Auto Mention then what is your 2nd best recommendation software for Auto Mention purpose ?

    THANKS A MILLION 🙂

    1. Hi,

I’ve been asked this question a few times, but unfortunately the answer is no. It’s not possible to use FollowLiker as a mentions bot.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  84. Hello ,
Thanks for the great tutorial. It’s actually way much better than the tutorial provided in FollowLiker website !
I have few simple questions regarding the General Settings. Since I’m operating only 1 account for now, do I need to change “Account Threads” to “1” I mean is there a difference if the value is set to “15” or “30” and I’m operating only 1 account ?
    2) Do you think it’s safe to lower the automation interval in global settings from 2-4 to lower values ? My account is 3 years old 15k followers.

    Thanks !

    1. Hi,

      1) I don’t think there will be any issues with having it set to 15. As far as I know FollowLiker is limited to 1 thread per account. I’ve had it set to the default 15 when I had less than 15 accounts as well.

      2) I think you will be fine. But try not to lower them too low, because your account might be doing too many actions in a short amount of time. You can also use seconds to make a better timing, for example 100-150 seconds.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  85. Hi Risto I’ve contacted FL support, but still no answer. Maybe you know something about this.
It’s gives me the error “Unable to retrieve data of user” any ideas ? Thanks !
P.S It was working perfectly fine the whole day.

    1. Hi,

Personally, I am not into auto mentioning, but I’ve seen some custom bots for that specific purpose. You can probably use them.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  86. I have accounts all in the same niche and have a large library of photos. Is there a way for all accounts to post from the same folder, but in random order so they don’t post the same as every other accounts – and avoids posting the same picture twice?

As of now they all post the same picture, but do follow different people thanks to global settings.

    1. Huh, not sure why the comment was cut off. Basically, I have multiple accounts in the same niche using the same folder of photos to post. Is it possible to randomize the photos so the accounts post them in different order, and make it so the same account doesn’t post a photo more than once?

And lastly, do videos work the same way? Just put <15 Second mp4 videos in the folder?

      Thank you!

      1. Hi,

The photos in the folder won’t be posted more than once. FollowLiker saves the path of the image and won’t use it again. As for randomizing the photos in different order, you have to create multiple folders for each account and then simply randomize the names of the photos using some kind of software.

And no, you can’t upload videos with FollowLiker.

        Best regards,
        Risto

    2. Hi,

I think you have to use a global wizard for this purpose, but I’ve never tried it, so I can’t tell for sure.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  87. Followliker sucks. The software is unstable and after requesting a refund (EU laws state that you have 14 days rethinking time), but they would not refund me. After writing a bad review they blocked my license while I have paid.

    1. Hi,

FollowLiker is an okay software for me. It surely does have some things which can be improved, but it still does the job for me.

You’re not the first one to complain about their support. Unfortunately, their support is not the best. And yes, I’ve heard stories like yours before. That’s why I recommend you to read the ToS of any product before buying it. It clearly states that all the sales are final and there will be no refunds given.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  88. Hey Risto

I’m having an issue where I cannot delete an account/user. This has only become apparent recently.

Any idea? I’m right clicking on the user and selecting delete. However, nothing is happening?

    Thanks

    1. Hi,

That’s really weird. I’ve never had that problem. Make sure that while you’re deleting the account it’s still highlighted.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  89. Hey Risto,

How long does it take to update the stats and status of the accounts? Is it constant, or only at certain times.

Status said PHONE so i phone verified the accounts, and they still say PHONE although they are verified. Also, the following/follower numbers are off. When do they update, or is there a way to force the update?

    Thank you!

    1. Hi,

It updates all the time, every few minutes. You can check the Activity Log.

As for the phone status, that won’t update unfortunately. You have to restart the project (stop and start again).

      Best regards,
      Risto

  90. Hi Risto,

I was running 5 accounts all on the same VPS with no proxies, and one account just got disabled, reason stated that I may not use automated methods to gather likes/follows/etc… But every account is running the same settings, and the settings are very similar to what you are doing.

Do you think its because of not using proxies? If so, I have no idea how to use proxies at all or where to use them after I buy them. Is there a guide for this?

Thanks so much for all your work!

    1. Hi,

Using proxies is fairly simple, but it’s not necessary the reason for your account getting disabled. Did you add a link on it by any chance? Did you do anything suspicious against the terms, other than botting? Was it an adult account or other niche which copyright could be a problem in?

      Best regards,
      Risto

  91. Hello, first of all thanks for your wonderful tutorial. I bought FL a week ago and it have a lot of features.

I used to do FLC but without follow/like/comment the same person. I want FL to do each task to different person.

How could I do that? I think its more effective to give 1 follow to one person and 1 like to another, than give follow +like at same person

    1. Hi,

To do that, don’t use FLC. FLC is the opposite of what you want to do. It’s meant to follow, like and comment on the same user.

Following, liking and commenting different people did not bring me more followers or had better results than FLC based on my experience. But I could be wrong. Let me know how it goes! 🙂

      Best regards,
      Risto

  92. Risto,

First of all, I’m a fan of your work. I’ve seen your comments and support in a well-known forum and they are always top notch.

I started to follow your guide about FL for IG and I have a question with regards to the followers section.
    You mentioned that….
I have tried all of the query types in FollowLiker and I have had the best results with “Users Who Liked” and “Users Who Commented“. However, recently Instagram introduced a new limit which allows you to only see up to 120 users maximum, therefore you will have to regularly update the queries if you want to use these query types.”

That being said, how often do you recommend changing those queries? I’m planning to use those and I have a pool of photos already selected.

Thanks again for your help and keep up the great work.

    1. Hi,

It depends on how many people you follow a day. For example, if you follow 500-600 and FL scrapes ~100 users per photo on average, you need at least 5-6 photos a day. But based on my experience, you will need a lot more, as FL sometimes have troubles with scraping all 120 users. It could be another Instagram limits, but I am not sure. One thing is for sure though, this method will surely be very time-consuming to maintain.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  93. Hello Risto,

Well, first of all I would like to say thank you for all the infos you wrote above. It helped so much!

I would like to know if there is some way to like user’s pics who liked some pic.
For example, I have a big instagram of quotes and I know a similar instagram of quotes. Can I set my FL to like pics of everyone who liked some specific pic of the similar instagram?

Thank you again, you are the best!

    1. Hi,

To do that, you would have to use FLC. Tick the “Scrape User”, “Scrape Photo” and “Like”. Then in “Scrape User” choose “Users Who Liked” as Query Type and type the URL or Photo ID as Query. In “Scrape Photo” choose Relevant and Query Type and type FLC.

I have not tested this, but let me know if it works. Keep in mind that Instagram limits the amount of users you can see who liked a photo.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  94. Hi Risto,

Everything was running smoothly, then Instagram sent an e-mail to all 4 of my accounts saying they detected suspicious activity and had to reset my password.

So I did that and can log in to all of them with my phone, however, now Followliker can’t login. It gives a 404 error as if the page was moved or deleted (but it hasn’t been) and it says to verify username and password because it can’t log in… although the login info is correct.

I’ve tried stopping and starting the projects as well as reloading them and even restarting Followliker. Same issue!

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi,

I personally haven’t had this issue, but one thing that could cause this is because FollowLiker keeps your session/cookies and it doesn’t log in every time. Try clearing the cookies and other stuff and see if that fixes the problem. Otherwise, you might have to re-add your account in the project (delete and add it again). Make sure to back up your whitelist/blacklist/followers/followings before doing so.

      Best regards,
      Risto

        1. Hi,

Very nice! I’ve noticed when something stops working in FL, it usually fixes itself after a while. But that’s not always the case. Glad you got it working though!

          Best regards,
          Risto

  95. Thanks Risto for your reply, I have a pool of around 100 pictures from different users to choose from. However, it looks like it will be a time-consuming process. Besides those queries, do you think follow any user’s followers is the next best bet to increase my follower count with active users?

    1. Hi,

Yes, it is indeed a very time consuming process. I used to do this a long time ago. At first the limits were big so I could scrape for days with only a few pictures, but after the update it got harder and harder so I gave up. Then I started following user’s followers. Considering Instagram sorts them from the newest to oldest, you will be following pretty active people.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  96. Thanks Risto, I noticed that following user’s followers is way faster and way less painful.
Thanks again for your advice. I configured FL successfully and it has been running fine; however, I came up with a question. I used to use Instagress, and that platform has an option where you can select your unfollow source, if you selected Instagress, then all the users that you followed manually were not going to be unfollowed. It was a very handy feature.

Do we have something similar in FL? Is there any way to keep manual followed users out of the unfollowing algorithm? or do I have to whitelisted every time?

    Have a great day!

    1. Hi,

Yes, you have to whitelist the people you’re following if you don’t want them to get unfollowed. You don’t have to do it every time, once you whitelist someone, they will stay whitelisted until you remove them.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  97. Risto,

Big thanks on this AWESOME write up.

I’ve been toying around with FL since buying it last week with following/unfollowing, liking and commenting.
Following your success with ‘users who commented’ and ‘users who liked’ I am going to try my hand at these. Previously, I was putting hashtags as the query for ‘users who commented’ and ‘users who liked’ but then it dawned on me that it must be a user’s name in the query. (^ ^)

1)Is there anyway to set presets for days I want to follow or unfollow, comment & DM etc ?
2)When DM’ing new followers, who do adjust my settings so I am not DM’ing old followers?

    Thanks a ton!

    Thank you Risto!

    1. Hi,

      Thanks a lot! 🙂

      As for your questions:
      1) You can’t “schedule” the features in FL.
      2) Instagram, pretty much. They sort out the followers of your profile from newest to oldest, so when FL scrapes your profile for followers, new ones will appear in the top always.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  98. Hi Risto,

    Great tutorial!

Unfortunately, 3 of my 5 accounts have now been banned dude to “artificially gathering likes/follows/posting repetitive content” yet I have the settings where you have them.

Is it maybe because I wasn’t supposed to start fresh with those settings? I’d love more info. They each had 2K so I lost 6k, which isn’t bad I guess but bad for the start.

I’d love more info! Thanks so much

    1. Hi Megan,

That’s very unfortunate. I highly doubt the bans were caused by the settings. I know people who have used a lot higher settings with brand new accounts and didn’t have any bans. The ban is probably related to something else. But it’s hard for me to say what, because I don’t have enough information about your accounts.

Number one reason for ban is links. That’s for sure. If you have had any links on your accounts, be careful how and when you add them. If you have been posting the same content over and over or spamming, you should avoid that as well. Don’t use sites like addmefast and so on.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  99. hey Risto, i have a question regarding my FollowLiker. It seems the unfollowing/following rate does not reflect the real numbers. this is what im talking about:

    oi64.tinypic.com/2pyyozl.jpg

you can see it shows unfollows number is “537” but my following number is only reduced from 5165 to 5054 which is less than 200..i noticed this is not only for this account but for all of my accounts. Every time followliker said it has unfollowed 500 accounts, in reality it only unfollow about 150-250 accounts. same case with following new accounts. When it says it has followed 500 accounts, actually it only followed 300-400 accounts. not sure why.

is this issue that common? I am not using VPS at the moment and I only use it on my PC, is it because of this? is this kind of issue common and what’s the solution?

    1. Hi,

I’ve had this problem and seen other people have it and there’s two explanations I can think of:
      1. You have followed private users and they don’t appear in the count of Instagram, so you think it does nothing, but in reality it’s unfollowing private users.
      2. You have been temporary blocked from unfollowing. At this point, FollowLiker bugs out sometimes and keeps unfollowing and increasing the counter, but nothing happens on your account.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  100. Thanks For the feedback Risto.

One more, I am on an OSX and I see many screen shots from Windows users running followliker having multiple projects/settings going on for a single account that they can save and alternate between for example Liking/commenting and unfollowing etc. Am I missing something completely about saving settings to use at a later time or do I have to adjust them within the wizard each and every time I want to FLC or unfollow, comments etc.? I’m aware that multitasking is possible but I want to isolate my functions sometimes and not have to go into the wizard and change the parameters each time.

    Thanks again dude!

    Tocofit (asu242 on BHW)

    1. Hi,

Yes, you could have two projects for each task, but keep in mind that FollowLiker will use a different device ID and session for each project. I’m not sure how good that is personally, but I doubt you’ll have any serious issues with it either. You could also have a global wizard set up in which you only have one wizard in total for all the accounts. But that only works if your accounts are in the same niche and have similar settings.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  101. Hey Risto,

Thanks a billion for this tutorial. I’ve had FL for 6 months and put things to a halt because I was getting flagged on my only account at 7k followers. I am a network marketer and i want to funnel my leads to my facebook from IG. I have my fb link in my ig bio. I want to either dm or comment (new followers) to send them to my bio to click the link. 2 questions:

    1.) Should I use FLC?

    or

    2. Can I use Follow, like, and DM (new followers) in one instance of FL?

    Thanks in advance

    1. Hi,

      1. I’m not sure if FLC works with DM. I don’t think it does. It’s a special function designed for following, liking and commenting only as far as I know.

      2. Technically, you can. But there’s no reason to do that. The reason so is because to send DM to new followers, you have to scrape your own followers. That means you’ll be following and liking people who are already following you which won’t bring you any new followers.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  102. Hi Risto!

Thank you so much for this. Helps a ton. I have also had FL for awhile but was using it nowhere near its full potential. Fortunately, your tutorial has ALREADY gotten me on the right path. My question is: I have Mac OS X and I see there is an option to purchase VPS so your computer is not running the entire time FL is working. However, I only see VPS for Windows machines. Do you know of any trustworthy VPS for Mac users?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi,

It doesn’t matter which operating system the VPS is running. You could connect to a VPS running Windows/Linux or whatever from your Mac at any time. I personally haven’t seen any Mac VPS sellers, but there probably are some. But I wouldn’t recommend buying a Mac VPS, it would probably be more expensive and harder to find. You could do all this with a VPS running Windows operating system.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  103. Hi Risto,
    Thanks for this great tutorial.
I have a problem with 1 of my account.

In the FL “activity log” it said, the account followed certain users
but the “actual” Following is not adding any users at all

I’ve checked the FAQ at the FL site and find it’s not working for this particular issue at all :
    Here is the FAQ :

    1. Something is wrong with the settings. Solution: Check the “Follow” and “Scrape User” boxes on the first page of the wizard. Add more “user search queries” and set “Follower to Following Ratio” to 0.00

    Follow checked
    Scrape user : suggested users
    following ratio : 0.00

    2. The session cookies are corrupt. Solution: Close and relaunch the software. Click this menu: “File->Clear->All Session Cookies” and try again.

    done

    3. There are too many usernames in the Blacklist table. Solution: Clear the “Blacklist” table of that account or project and try again.

    I have no “blacklist”

    4. You are following private users. The number of private users followed are not usually added to the “Followings” count by some social media networks (especially Instagram). So, when you follow private users, you won’t notice any change in your account’s Following count, until the private users approve your ‘follow requests’.

the users is not private users
I’ve checked their accounts on Instagram one by one

    5. A limit has been imposed on your account, as a result of following or unfollowing too many users within a short period. Solution: Set “Delay Follow” to 25-30 seconds and reduce the “Daily Follow Limit” to about 250-300 or lower, temporarily. Then, pause the account for about 24-48 hours and try again after that. You should also run the follow and unfollow tasks separately at different times.

I still can “follow” using my cellphone & through web instagram.com ( so the account is not banned at all )

    6. The data files of the project are corrupt. Solution: You should rebuild the project. Click this menu: “Help->Optimize Data”, then click the “Rebuild Project” button. If rebuilding the project doesn’t work, create a new project.

I’ve created 1 new project, specific for testing this issue

    but it’s still not working

    the “Activity log” said “following”
but the following is not increasing
and I’ve checked the user ( that suppposed tobe followed by FL ) but the user is not followed at all

    I hope you can help.

    thanks

    1. Hi,

That’s really weird. Have you tried creating a new project and adding the account there? What other functions you have enabled beside following? Try to monitor the Activity Log in FL and see what happens. That might help you find out what is causing this.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  104. Hello, Risto

Well, I use the FollowLiker in a VPS and I have 2 accounts actually running but I want to use 1 more.

Do you think it’s really necessary use Proxy for 3 accounts? If you dont think so, how many accounts can run without proxy? I wouldnt like to pay for it.

Thank you man, you are the best!

    1. Hi,

You could use 3 accounts without proxies. I’ve been using 3 accounts per proxy myself. However, when you get more accounts, it’s recommended to get dedicated proxies.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  105. Hi,

So I am about to purchase my VPS from shape host and I see there are 2 options: windows VPS and Linux VPS… Windows VPS costs significantly more money at $19/month while Linux VPS starts at $5/month. Are you saying I would not be able to run FL on Linux VPS? Must I choose windows VPS only?

    Thanks

    1. Hi,

FollowLiker does not support Linux by default. But you could still run on a Linux machine. Install VirtualBox or VMWare with Windows on it and run it there.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  106. Hi Risto,

First of all, thank you so much for this guide! You have great writing style. Very easy for anyone to understand. 🙂 Much appreciated.

    I have a few questions:
    1. Do I need to have my laptop on 24/7 in order for FL to run? I’m guessing so. Can I just run this in another laptop? I have a spare one at home. Or is there way to get pass this with just using one? You mentioned you use it 24/7 on a server. What does that mean? How do you do it?

    2. Do I need an individual proxy for individual account. Currently only running one account with no proxy but planning on running more later.

    3. How do you do DeCaptcha or DeathByCaptcha? Is it a separate service I have to subscribe to in order to get the username and password?

Sorry if these have been answered already!

    I appreciate your help man.

    Thank you.

    1. Hi,

      1. You can run 24/7, but it is not necessary. You can finish the tasks in a few hours. And you can only have FL licensed on one computer at a time.

I use a dedicated server myself which is online 24/7. So I run FL 24/7 on it.

      2. If you can afford a proxy per one account, that is the best way to do it. Otherwise, I recommend up to 3 accounts per proxy.

      3. Yes, it is a separate service you have to purchase.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  107. One more question:

You recommended not to follow and unfollow at the same time. How do I accomplish this? Do I just set a specific time for “Follow”, say 12am-11:59am (morning) and different times in the same day for “Unfollow”, say 12pm noon – 11:59pm night.

    How do you do it?

      1. Would you recommend say, Follow for 2 days and then Unfollow for a day? or is it better to do it say 12 hours of following and 12 hours of unfollowing on the same day? or maybe it doesn’t matter? What has been your experience with it?

  108. Hi Risto,

Something really bothers me for a long time and I can not find the right answer, hopefully you can help me.
Is it true, that after I hit 7500 following or lower number, I need to wait 24 hours to start unfollowing ?
Some people say, that you can follow and unfollow in the same day … do you recommend this ?
I’ve followed your Instagram Journey on BHW from the very start, but I didn’t find the answer to this.
When do you personally start unfollowing with your accounts ? After you hit a big number like 7500 followers or lower ?. I took me like 1 week to unfollow all 7500 people, but it felt like 1 month :/

    Thanks 🙂

    1. Hi Ivan,

I would recommend you to wait a few hours when you switch from following to unfollowing. I do that myself.

I also recommend not following and unfollowing at the same time. I’ve answered this in my journey as well I believe.

I start unfollowing when I hit 7,500 followings on my account(s). It’s a slow process but following/unfollowing is the best method to gain new followers.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  109. Hi RISTO,

Read again of your tutorial and find last time i missed sth. nice tips.

As now FL always crash itself and can’t update to the lastest version.so it’s really necessary to backup the data.but the after reading the faq on FL,still don’t know how to backup the data and restore.

would u please record a video on how to do this?

    thanks so much.
    Dragon

    1. Hi Dragon,

The backup process is fairly simple. You just need to back up some files. Which operating system are you on? The steps are different for Windows/Mac users.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Hi Risto,

I’m on the vps which operates Windows server 2003.

is it mean i have to backup the “data” and “db_dump” folders, also the “Follow Liker” folder?

when restoring,i just copy the backup folder to where they are?

        hope it’s right,
        thx.

        Regards.
        Dragon.

  110. Hi Risto,

Thanks for the great tutorial! A question about the VPS:
How much RAM does it need (or settings in general) for FL to run? Is a cheap VPS enough?

  111. Hi Risto

I am still a little confused about the proxies and VPS and have following questions for starting with 15 IG Accounts:

    1) How many IP address do I need for that?

    2) Where can I find the proxies and the VPS?

    3) How much does a proxy and a VPS cost?

    4) Do I need to run my windows laptop 24 hours for running the FL and VPS?

    5) Do you have an example for a good looking IG profile with bio for marketing purposes?

    6) Can I still use bluestacks on my laptop or is a similar one available for my laptop?

Thanks a lot for your great answers.

    Best Regards,
    Peter

    1. Hi,

      1) If you can afford it, you could use 15 different proxies. One for each account. If you’re on budget, I’d recommend at least 5 proxies, one per 3 accounts.

      2) You can find them anywhere. I have added recommended websites in my blog on the right sidebar.

      3) Both are paid monthly. A VPS would cost you like $15 per month most likely. A small one to run FL only. Proxies will cost you a little bit more.

      4) No, you don’t have to run your laptop 24/7 if you get a VPS. The VPS will run 24/7 for you. That’s why you get it.

      5) I don’t have any particular examples. If you’re out of ideas, it’s a good idea to check out the competition and see how they do it.

      6) Sure you can. MEmu is another good emulator 🙂

  112. Hello Risto, I have one question

Currently Im following and liking until I reach 7500 followings.
I want to unfollow in a different project so I dont have to lose my settings when I wanted to start following again.
The question is, if I unfollow in a different project, the unfollowed users will be blacklisted when I start following again?

    Regards

    1. Hi,

No, they will not be blacklisted. FL will follow them again, unless you manually export the blacklist from the other project and import it into the following project.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  113. Hi Risto,

Thanks for getting back to me earlier. Quick questions:

    1. How do I setup FL so that it follows back people that followed me recently?
    2. I set Follower:Following ratio at 0.00, yet I have 450 followers and 1800 following. How come?

Thanks for your help once again!

    1. Hi Shaz,

      1. To follow back people that followed you recently, in the scrape user settings choose “User’s Follower” and add your username as query.

      2. I’m not sure, but I think if you set it to 0.00 or 1.00 it will disable that function.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  114. Hello risto,
Thanks for the tutorial, you’re awesome!
I have some questions though and would appreciate any answers:

    1. lets say i want to manage 50+ account, and i buy the proxies, i should enter the proxies 50+ times manually? then why does the software ask how many accounts i want to run per proxy if i have to enter them manually?

2.If i want to run those 50 accounts and share photos on them, from what i understand i have to run 2 instances of followliker, one for photos and one for tasks?

    3. to run 100 accounts using followliker, should i run 2 instances, 1 for photos and one for tasks? or run 4 instances, 50 threads each instance?

    4. to run 100 accounts, with photo scheduling, how powerful of a vps should i get? ram, cores, etc?

    5. could you recommend me a vps? what host do you use if i may ask? 😀

6.I see people buying SIM cards and stuff, why can’t i use 1 number for my accounts? what if i dont verify them using a number at all, would that hurt me somehow?

    7. Lastly, do you think I’d be better off with massplanner for “mass” accounts?

    thanks alot!

    1. Hi Riyad,

      1. You can also use the “Proxy Manager” and it will assign the proxies randomly to accounts. But I recommend sticking the same proxy to each account every time.

      2. Yes, correct.

      3. I think you can run both ways. Either should be fine.

      4. You can get a small to medium size VPS. To be on the safe side, I would recommend 2-4GB RAM and 1-2 cores.

      5. I have recommendations on my blog sidebar (right side).

      6. Instagram does not allow 1 number to be used unlimited amount of times.

      7. I don’t think so. FL is better for “mass” accounts than MP. I am also working on my own bot, so if you can wait, it might help you out.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  115. Hey Risto,

Thanks for the guide! I am trying to follow and like, but not comment. I’ve followed your steps closely. When I watch what happens in the log. It will follow a bunch of people, then find one person(i think the first person it followed) and like three of their photos. It will then wait and do the next batch of follows followed by likeing the photos of just one person. I thought it was supposed to give 1-3 likes to all of the people that it followed. Is there something that I am doing wrong or messed up in the settings? Thanks!

    1. Hi,

It should like the pictures of “all” users it follows, as long as the limit is not reached. I think in your case, something might be set up wrong.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  116. Hi Risto,

Have you ran into any issues where FL stops unfollowing or gets stuck in the activity log when it loads up the whitelist for accounts to NOT unfollow? Not sure if you’ve ran into this issue and have found a remedy. Any help would be great!

    1. Hi quang,

Sorry to hear that. I haven’t had such an issue myself. You could try clearing the whitelist and see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn’t, open a ticket in FL support.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  117. I have 2400 instagram accounts, 6-10 months old, 6k-35k followers
Many accounts can not follow 500 one day
Last response code: 400 -> feedback_required Action Blocked Based on previous use of this feature, your account has been temporarily blocked from taking this action. This block will expire this Monday. We restrict certain content and actions to protect our community. Tell us if you think we made a mistake. was received from instagram

    1. Hi,

It seems the problem is in your delays. If you’re going too fast, you will get blocked no matter what. Try to take it slower. And most importantly leave your accounts to rest for some time.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Yes,you are right, the problem is in the delays.
My friend have do following and unfollowing same time
        following 1100-1300/day unfollowing 800-800/day
        My frend’s account can gain 8000-10000 followers/month
it has work 6 months, it is ok.
but i use the same seting, my account’s Following Count did not increase after running the Follow Task. What is going on?

        1. Hi,

You could be temporary blocked from following maybe. Try logging in manually and see if you can follow people. If the button turns green and immediately back to normal, that means you’re temporary blocked from following. Stop all botting activities on that account for 24-48 hours and then try again.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  118. Hi Risto
Thanks a lot for your very great answers.
But I still have one questions:
    – Your opinion is having 3 IG accounts per one IP-Address.
But I cannot follow the process with SIM cards. Do I need a different Simcard for every IG account?
Thanks a lot for your help.
    Best Regards,
    Peter

    1. Hi,

Not necessary. But I don’t recommend over-using a SIM card as well. Having 3-4 accounts per number sounds good to me.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  119. Hey Risto I have a question about getting likes
My account is fine in getting followers the problem is getting enough likes to match my followers

my settings for likes is currently:
    like limit: 15-20
    daily: 800-1000
    delay like: 30-50

    scrape photo limit 40
    checked only scrape top result
with about 20 scrape photo query

It it based on what im putting for my queries?

    1. Hi,

Do you mean getting likes on the pictures you post? If so, I would recommend liking photos of the users you follow using the FLC feature. That would increase the engagement.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  120. Hi Risto,
    Thanks for the great tutorial!

I am planning to run BOTH “follow” and “like” features ( thus the checkboxes for “scrape user” and “scrape photo” are also checked/enabled).

My settings for “follow” and “like” are 200 per day (So 200 follows / 200 likes per day). Since both of my settings are pretty low, what # do you recommend for “scrape user limit” and “scrape photo limit”?

Currently, your instruction indicates 40 each. But since my daily settings are low, I am wondering if I should also lower the scrap user/photo limits as well.

If so, what number do you suggest? (20?)

    Thank you

    1. Hi Jen,

You will be fine with both 20 and 40. It’s not a big deal. If at some point there are too many scraped users, you can clear them all and FollowLiker will scrape new ones again.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  121. Outstanding Tutorial Risto

The problem that I’m seeing under my statistics per account is that my likes are 1000-1700, but my follows is 15-30 and unfollow is 0. What should I change under my settings in order for it to start following and unfollowing more?

    Auto Interval: 2-4 mins

    Settings:
    (Follow User)
    Follower to Following Ratio; 1.2
    Follow Limit: 10-15
    Daily Follow Limit: 250-300
    Delay Follow: 15-30

    (Unfollow User)
    Follower to Following Ratio: 0.9
    Unfollow after 0 Days
    Unfollow Limit: 10-20
    Daily Unfollow Limit: 250-300
    Delay Unfollow: 20-25

    I have 90 (User’s Followers)

    Thanks Risto.

    1. Hi Max,

Make sure that FollowLiker can scrape enough users. That means, check the “Scrape User” settings.

Make sure you have checked the option in the first page to scrape your own followers and followings, so FollowLiker can export your followings and unfollow them.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  122. Hi Risto,
Thank you for such an amazing guide and for taking the time and effort, you made my life much easier.

I have a question regard “Shuffle Tasks”, there is a reason why you are not using it at all?

    Tnx

    1. Hi,

I am using it, but not always. I don’t run many tasks on the accounts at once, so there aren’t many tasks to shuffle through.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  123. Hi Risto, firstly let I say thankyou for this great tutorial! It helps me a lot

    Here’s my question..
    1. How if I open 3 instances of the same account, is it safe or will IG detect my behaviour? I’d like to set that 3 instances works 24/7 but do different task with different scheduled time per instance. Example one for following, one for unfollowing and one for posting photos in each different time. And yes, they are the same account. How do you think? And how does the license count for this?

    1. Hi,

I wouldn’t recommend doing that. Especially not at the same time. If you do all the tasks at once there will be too many actions happening from your account which clearly shows that you’re using bots or automated software.

If you have unlimited FollowLiker, you can open as many instances as you want and have as many accounts as you want on each of them.

      Best regards,
      Risto

    2. Hi again Risto! 🙂
No, I mean I’ll set the schedule time for each instances, so all the project will run in different time. Can I? I’ll give you example to make it clear:
      1. 1st instances for following at 09:00-21:00
      2. 2nd instances for unfollowing at 21:00-09:00
      3. 3rd instances for photo sharing 2/3 times a day or more
And they all are the same account, and run all day 24/7 but they have their own scheduled time.. How do you think? With this setting I can leave it without switching to follow/unfollowing every 9:00 and 21:00 o’clock right? 😀

      1. Hi,

I see. So you want to run different tasks at different times. That’s fine. However, running 3 instances of it, I don’t know how good is that. A downside is that FollowLiker will probably generate 3 different device IDs for each instance for each account. So that means you’ll be logged from 3 devices at the same time (not including anything else other than FL).

And also, doing following and unfollowing all at the same day isn’t very good based on my experiences. But you should try it. I personally don’t think that you can get banned for pushing the limits. You will get temporary blocked from following/unfollowing, but not disabled permanently. If it works well, keep at it! 🙂

        Best regards,
        Risto

  124. Hi Risto,
Not sure if my comment was posted properly yesterday.

I had a quick question to ask – If I am following and liking 200 each per day (so 200 follows / 200 likes PER DAY), what # do you suggest for “scrape user setting” and “scrape photo setting”?

Currently, your instruction indicates 40 for both. But since my numbers so a lot lower, I am wondering if I should also adjust these scrape numbers as well

    1. Hi,

Yes, your comment was posted and I gave an answer to the other comment. There are some problems going on with my web host. I’m trying to fix them but I might end up switching hosts. Sorry about that.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  125. Hi Risto.
Thank you very much for this amazing tutorial.
After reading i have a question about shuffle tasks.
    1. What’s are the benefits?
    2. Why you are not using it? (Didn’t saw on the guide that u used this feature).
    And regard unfollowing,
How exactly u separate between following and unfollowing? Do u open new project just for unfollow?

    Tnx a lot

    Adam

    1. Hi Adam,

      1) The benefits are that your tasks will not be ran in the same order every time. They will be shuffled. Hence it’s harder to detect the pattern and will look less robotic.

      2) I don’t use it always. I don’t run many tasks at once. I usually run 1-2 tasks so shuffling through each of them won’t really change much in my opinion.

      3) I use the same project for both following and unfollowing. When the account reaches 7,500 followings I manually uncheck the following and check the unfollowing task.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  126. I am encountering a problem with my proxies and my accounts; I have set up an instance for 10 accounts to upload a pic each day. I am using one proxy per 2 accounts . Here is the the problem , when I start FL it gives me a message of error and it says : please check your proxy, username and password . I have checked everything, but it still does not work . I wrote my proxy ( ip:port) like you said , still err.

    1. Hi,

Make sure that you have authorized the IP address of the computer that you run FollowLiker on in your proxy provider. Most of the times proxies require authorization to prevent people from stealing/using your proxies.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  127. want to know the following settings??

    1. I want to like pics of users who have followed both account, (say for example users who are following @mercedez and @cars).

    2. I want to like pics of two hashtags, means want to like pic which have #health #fitness both caption.

    Kindly tell me the settings

    Thanks very Much

    1. Hi Fahad,

      1. To do that, you have to use FLC. Check the Scrape User, Scrape Photo and Like settings. Then put FLC:username in Scrape User and FLC in Scrape Photo.

      2. I don’t think that is possible with FollowLiker.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  128. How do you guys access multiple accounts to upload, delete pics, update your profile and respond to DM’s?

I get that bluestacks is an option, but I feel as if that is the same as using your phone, linking all your accounts to the same IP?

    Thank

    1. Hi,

I personally use a bot (custom) which is not available in public now. But when it’s ready, you will see it on my blog somewhere.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  129. Hello risto i’m a big fan of you after reading all of the tutorial part. Thanks for this guide i really appreciate it !

Risto i just bought hundreds instagram accounts they are freshly new and i’m starting to “make up” the Bio, Profile photo, Post photos and landing page website link, but i’m having a problem… when done “make up” and put them on FL, i’m running them on FL for couple minutes some of them get banned instantly ! 🙁 🙁 🙁

my question is how do i avoid ban when starting new and fresh account on followliker ?
what should i do with these fresh account ? should i leave them for couple days ? and start running after
or is there any tips/tricks guide to get pass through this instant ban since they are really fresh and new account ? i would like to hear from you i’m so confused 🙁

please kindly reply this, i will stay tune here

Note : after the account asking for phone verification and do some activity on instagram i also got kicked out from IG and account got banned

    1. Hi,

Avoid using links for new accounts. They’ll always get banned no matter what. That’s the main problem in my opinion.

Other than that, try not to be too aggressive in the early days.

Make sure you don’t use any blacklisted PVA services, because if a number is blacklisted, it will cause the account to be banned.

Lastly, I wouldn’t recommend buying accounts because most of sellers are using overused proxies, numbers and so on. The best way is to make your own accounts.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  130. Hi Risto, Followliker instagram doesn’t follow file order while sharing. For example, i put 200 pictures in sharing folder.(They are in order 1,2,3,4,5…) However, Followliker share them in a different way like 1,10,101… Can this order be changed? Thanks.

    1. Hi,

That order can’t be changed. If I’m not mistaken FollowLiker has recently added a feature to RANDOMLY select images.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  131. I would like to comment on (spin already created) each new photo posted by ALL users on my whitelist (400 approx). I understand how to load the whitelist and scrape only top result and in this case limit photo to “1” I am guessing.

What I can’t figure out is what query to run on “scrape photo” manager?? Help please. I am hoping there is a simply query to run (and not have to type out 400 users….as that will negate my intentions). Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Hi,

You have to use FLC for this. And you have to import the whitelist users in Scrape Photo, with FLC tag before them and query type as User’s Photo.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Risto:

Could you share a few more details and suggestions? I have attempted multiple ways and can’t seem to get this to work. One question is….can I run this project simultaneously while the same IG account is working on another project? I did try pausing and stopping the other project and my attempt to comment on my whitelist only still didn’t work?

  132. Hi Risto,

I’m trying to use the FLC thing and it’s following users fine. But when is time to like, it only likes 3 photos and jumps again to following more 15-20 users.

I’m doing it the right way, using the new method that came with the new update, but still having problem.

    My settings: http://imgur.com/a/luKF8

Do you know why is that happening?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Jorge,

To be honest with you, there are many flaws in FLC that I’ve seen people complain about and it must be a software bug. Your setting seem okay, but I can’t tell why is it happening. You have to contact FL support.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  133. Hi,

I can put limit to the number of following of my account?

I want to have less than a thousand followings.

    Thanks!

    1. Hi,

You can have FollowLiker to only follow users with less than 1,000 followings. It’s in the settings for “Follow”.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  134. Hi Risto:

How I can upload 300 pictures for example from a folder? I do not want to upload one by one. The name of the pictures is “sunset at fiji.png” , “resort cancun.png” and I want to use the same name in the post.

    Thanks very much in advance.

    Best!

    1. Hi,

FollowLiker can’t do that. However, you can easily make a custom software that does that for you to be honest. It shouldn’t be too hard. You just need to see what is the FollowLiker format for importing files and then generate a file.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  135. Just want to thank you and commend you on your work and efforts to keep this updated! Wishing you more success!

  136. Awesome tutorial bro, mantap!!

i have a newbie question for you, if i just need to scrape user data task, it save for use low delay limit in general setting? in example 1 – 2 second per task.

sorry for my bad english, and thanks for the answer before

    1. Hi,

For scraping users, having low limits is okay. I do it myself too, I don’t have any delays for my personal bot for scraping.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  137. Hello Risto,

all I want to say is a BIG Thanks for creating this website and your awesome dedication.
You’ve answered every single question from August 2015 till NOW. Kudos dude 🙂 Keep up the good work !

  138. I am using FLC for following and liking.

I set it up per instructions above, however, it seems as though it is following really old accounts – not the new people following a certain account I am scraping from. The people followed just seem inactive.

Result of this is only getting 1 or 2 followers back per 10-12 follows.

Any ideas of what I am doing wrong?

  139. Somewhere I read that if Instagram ask you to verify phone number 3 times after that 3 time verification if you got 1 more phone verification your account will blocked, Is it TRUE??
As I have more than 12K followers and I got already got 2 times verification??

what should I do, Any suggestion??

    Thanks Very much

    1. Hi Fahad,

I don’t think it’s true. I’ve been asked for verification before quite a lot and never had an issue to be honest. There are many myths people talk about, but they’re not true for everyone. You can never know the reason for the ban of your account.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  140. This has been really helpful as i am considering using FL… Thank you so much. But i have a few questions.
    1. can i open my followliker account in different computers or just the one which has the application installed?

    2. What if my PC gets bad. Can i use the the followliker installation package in my mail box to launch the app in another computer?

Thank you so much once again for this detailed tutorial.

    1. Hi,

      1. You can only use FollowLiker on one computer at a time. If you want to use it on another computer, you have to reset your license and install it on that computer. If you want to move to another computer again, you have to reset the license again.

      2. You can reset the license and install it on another computer.

      Best regards,
      Risto

    1. Hi,

Yes, it is possible. You can take a screenshot of your screen and then crop the photo. Or just ask him to upload it on his profile, or anywhere else.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  141. Hey Risto,
    I have several questions
    1) You showed us two providers (https://www.sslprivateproxy.com/ and https://www.proxy-n-vpn.com/buy-proxies/instagram-proxies/ ) for instagram accounts, is there a difference between both because I noticed that one is cheaper than the other?
    2) If there is no difference, can I change my actual proxies for my accounts to new ones?
    3) Some of my accounts are almost reaching 7.5 k following , I want to start unfollowing in a new instance while I pause my accounts that are on “following” mode , my question is this , will my “following instance “ remember the blacklisted people that I unfollowed in my “unfollowing instance” ?
    4) What is the maximum amount of people that I can follow in a day without being banned?
    5) What is the maximum amount of people that I can unfollow in a day without being banned?
    6) Where can we follow all your tutorials ?
    7) How many accounts can I have per instagram proxy ?

    1. Hi,

      1. No big difference, except that different proxies and different companies. Each company have their own way of working.
      2. Yes, you can change your proxies. But I don’t recommend changing the IP addresses you use to log in very often.
      3. No, it won’t. Unless you manually export and import.
      4. I don’t know, there are no specific limits by Instagram.
      5. I don’t know, there are no specific limits by Instagram.
      6. Here, on my blog – imristo.com.
      7. You can have as many as you want I guess. I don’t know if there’s a limit. But I recommend up to 3. Some people have up to 5, but it feels risky to me. The best way is to use one proxy per account, but it’s costly that way.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  142. I had scraped around 10K Followers, Now i want to knowall 10K followers following, It is possible? If yes How to do this?

    Thank you

  143. Even with “scrape only top result” with following the followers of a user, I am getting inactive looking accounts and a poor followback ratio because of this…

any idea what can cause the scraping to be off even with scrape only top?

    Thanks Risto!

    1. Hi,

Maybe your queries don’t have enough new posts/users so FL keeps going deeper and deeper.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  144. I can’t use Instagram on MEMU while setup proxy.

It was working like charm, but when uninstall old version and reinstall new one, it give me error “an unknown network error has occurred”.
I again reinstall the new version and reinstall the old one and it stopped working all time getting the same error “an unknown network error has occurred”.

Kindly help me what should I do

  145. Hey! Huge help!

How do I know the effectiveness of my queries? I want to split test several things, however, I can’t figure out how to determine which query a user name was scraped from.

I’m running following only on almost 90 accounts.

  146. Hi Risto, all my compliment for your Awesome tutorial!

I would like to know how to do like to the last picture of my followers.

My idea is: post picture on my account and after that run folloliker to do like to the picture of my followers, in this way I hope to receive more engagement/like for my last picture posted.

Can you help me to find the right setting for this?

    Thank you and happy easter!

    1. Hi,

To like the latest pictures of your followers you have to use FLC on your own account (example: “FLC:myusername” – without the quotes).

      Best regards,
      Risto

  147. How are you “split-testing”? How are you determining the successfulness of your queries?

(Running 90 accounts Instagram & Twitter edition)

    1. Hi,

You can split-test different sources for scraping users. You can split-test various filter tools. And the list goes on, until you find good settings which bring you good engagement rate/new followers.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  148. Hey Risto I have a question:
When you are unfollowing are you doing other actions like liking photos ?
Is it safe to unfollow and like pics or only unfollow ?
    Thanks !

    1. Hi,

I think you will be safe unfollowing and liking. Make sure you use appropriate settings though, don’t do anything (over)aggressive.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  149. Hello Risto. Right now im running 4 accounts on Instagram FL edition. When trying to add the account # 5 Instagram asked me to verify it with a security code sent to the email linked to that account. Instagram says that i need to verify the account, it doesnt say the account has been banned or blocked. I got the first email with the security code and it didnt work, i tried more times and im not getting the code. I can see that the account is online but it doesnt let me log in. Im not using proxies. What do you suggest me to do?

    1. Hi,

Try again in a few minutes I guess. There might be some error. Don’t try sending another mail while you’re waiting for a code. That will make the previous code invalid.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  150. Hey man,

    Fantastic Tutorial!!!

Do you know any way i can scrape other users photos and captions and then put them all in a folder and have them upload with the same caption that was scraped.

I am doing it manually at the moment and takes a really long time.

    Thanks.

    1. 2) Also, What program do you use to login to the account to change bio and username via the correct proxy? any ideas?

      Thanks.

          1. Hi Kyle,

That one is free and not related to the software I’m talking about. It will be available in a month maybe, or something like that.

            Best regards,
            Risto

  151. Hey Risto love that you answer to all the comments and love your tutorial. Mind me asking what is the best formula you use for Liking the last 3 photos of someones followers? If that is not clear..
I want to find a user, with Scrape user, Then Get his/her followers and likes their last 3 photos. I mean i know how to do it in the settings, just asking you for the best formula on Time, Liking Limit etc.

I would really appreciate your thoughts.

    Best

    1. Hi,

Liking someone’s pictures after following them is like “icing on cake”. It increases the chances of him noticing you and following you back and liking some of your photos. I recommend liking 1-3 pictures. I usually do 2, because I follow 500-600 users and I don’t want to go too high on likes per day.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Hey thanks for the replay, I actually dont do follows. I like last three phtotos of people who follow a person that has the same niche with me. But i was more asking on what is the formula of the likes per day and timing.

        1. Hi,

I understand. In that case, I think there’s no “formula”. You like the last three photos of as many people as possible per day. I’d recommend staying within the limits (~1000 likes per day).

As for the timing, that’s hard. It’s hard to tell a good timing and it’s also hard to execute a good timing due to bots not designed for that.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  152. Hi! Thanks so much for this! Way more clearly explained.

How many accounts can you have under one proxy? I have heard 3 but I have 5 that I want to use with this Followliker but don’t have a proxy. I don’t want the accounts to get shut down either but I know it’s kind of unpredictable using these systems but thought I would ask what you would recommend?

    Thanks!

  153. Hey, Great guide!
If I want to DM my followers but also potentially the people I’m following, but only once. If I set up two settings, one to DM my Followers, and one to DM my followings according to the “Sending Direct Messages To NEW Followers” guide. Will it only send one message or will it send both when I follow and when they follow me?

    1. Hi,

That will only send DMs to people who follow you, not people you follow. The people you follow are called “followings”.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  154. Hello Sir:

I hear different things about the phone verifications by IG. Do I need for each IG Account a separate phone number. And how often do I get a phone reverification request? What is your experience?

    Thanks a lot.
    Peter

    1. Hi,

You can use the same phone number for multiple accounts if I’m not mistaken. I wouldn’t recommend using the same number for more than 3-4 accounts however.

      Best regards,
      Risto

    1. Hi Berk,

This is not a free software, nor do I own it. Read the introduction part for more information.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  155. Hello Risto. Im running more than 10 accounts on FL Instagram edition and i want you to suggest me the best practices to magane my accounts on FL.

1- Do you suggest to have all account in just one instance of the software?
2- Do you suggest to have opened several instances of the software for my case? Why?
3- Pros and cons of having 1 or more than one instances of the software to manage my accounts.

    Aditional information:

    – My accounts have 3 phases of configuration where every 2 weeks they go from the FL default configuration to the third level where i set the Follow count to 600-650. So some accounts are in first level, second level and other in the third level of configuration. Of course, there will be a moment where all of them will be in the third level.

    1. Hi Diuk,

If all of your accounts are in the same niche, I would recommend having one instance and using Global Wizard. That way each account will target unique accounts and none of your accounts will follow the same people. Your accounts will grow and each of them will have unique followers, hence the traffic will be higher.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Thanks for your answer. The accounts are all from different niches. Right now i have them running on one instance of the software. Having said that, what would you recommend?

        1. Hi,

In that case, I think one instance is okay. Unless you have a LOT of accounts. In that case, FollowLiker is not able to handle all the accounts in one instance, you’ll have to start another one. Personally, I haven’t had that issue as I never had a “lot” of accounts. This usually happens when you have more than 50-100 accounts in one instance.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  156. Hi Risto,

I emailed you a couple of days ago but I probably mistyped my email address because I haven’t heard from you.

Do you know if FL updated the program in the past week or so? I’m asking because I bought, installed and started using it three days ago and your screenshots look different than what I see on my FL wizard.

    1. I haven’t been able to set the number of photos per user I want FL to like because this latest version I have does not appear to have that setting. If it does, would you please help me find it? I would want it to like 3 photos per user.

    2. Yesterday FL liked 500+ photos but none of my own followers photos.

    3. This morning I had to delete my project and clear the database because FL wasn’t doing anything even though the activity window said it was unfollowing/linking. After I added the project anew it worked fine all day. Is this something that happens often?

    4. In the following section, today I added a relevant FLC:(blank here) query. I wanted to add a FLC:(myusername) with “user’s followers” or “relevant” and the program wouldn’t accept it – nothing happened when I clicked “save” and I tried several times. Any idea why?

Thank you, very much, for all the time and effort you put here, I really appreciate the help you provide.

    Take good care,

    Emma

    1. Hi Emma,

I haven’t received any e-mail from you. There might be something wrong with the e-mail system, I’ll have to check it out.

I made this tutorial quite a long time ago and I haven’t updated it since the beginning (except some minor updates). It’s true that FollowLiker has had many updates since then.

      To answer your questions:
      1. You have to check “show advanced settings” to be able to see it if I’m not mistaken.
      2. It depends how you set up the like settings. You have to use FLC for this if I’m not mistaken.
      3. That has never happened to me so far. Not sure what the issue was.
      4. You can’t have “FLC:(blank)” query in User Scrape settings. You have to have something in the blank. You can use FLC only with blank in the Photo Scrape settings.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  157. Hello Risto

I have followed your guide and it seem to work very well for a few weeks. But recently (last month) It seems that the following, liking stats are really low. I have not changed my setting, but I do regularly (once a week) update the “people who have liked” images.

    Any Suggestions

    1. Hi,

It’s hard to tell what the problem is without more information. Maybe the pictures you’re adding have the same likers are the previous ones, hence FL can’t find unique accounts to follow.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  158. hey,

i recently uploaded a new instagram account into the program. however its not allowing me to follow accounts that i choose while i am perusing on my instagram feed. i can’t figure out what i changed in the settings versus my other instagram i have been successfully running in the program.

    thoughts?

    thanks.

    1. Hi,

I can’t really say anything in your case. You should check many things, such as whether FL is scraping users. If there are no users to follow, it won’t follow. Try to clear cookies and so on, see if that helps.

      Best regards,
      Risto

    1. Hi,

It means that your account(s) are requiring phone verification. Until you verify them with a phone number, you won’t be able to do anything with them.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  159. Hello Risto

Do you have any experiences using Massplanner. It looks like there some good new updates about IG marketing. I still cannot decide between FL and Massplanner.

    Maybe, you can help me.

    Thanks a lot.
    Best Regards,
    Peter

    1. Hi,

It’s totally depends on what you need the bot for. Whether you want to grow a few accounts or run an empire. What are you looking for in a bot?

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Hi Resto

I would like to run about 20 Accounts in different niches. Should I start with Massplanner or FL or with both?

        Thanks a lot.

        Best Regards,
        Peter

        1. Hi,

If you’re planning to run 20 accounts, both will do the job in my opinion. If you plan to add more accounts in the future, then FL is probably a better choice.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  160. Hello Risto,

    Thank you for your post.

Just one question, can I post from the cellphone at the same time is Follow Liker running, right?

    Best Regards,
    Cris

    1. Hi Cris,

It depends on the situation. If you’re running 1-3 accounts, then it’s okay. But if you’re running more accounts than that, you should use proxies and take care of device ID as well. Basically, if you own a lot more than 1-3 accounts, I wouldn’t recommend using both FL and your phone unless you know what you’re doing.

      Best regards,
      Risto

        1. Just one more question.

As I just openned the instagram account, is it okay to follow users and like photos at the same time?

          1. Hi,

I personally don’t recommend to anyone to do multiple tasks at the same time no matter what they are. You should do them one after another. For example, first follow people then like, instead of doing both simultaneously at the same time. You can obviously switch from one task to another from time to time to prevent Instagram detecting some kind of “bot” pattern on your account.

            Best regards,
            Risto

  161. Hi Risto,

Thank you for replying to my previous message.

    Some more questions:

    1. Why is it advised to wait until you get 7,500 followers to start unfollowing? What’s the benefit of waiting that long? Wouldn’t seeing such a large number of followings keep people from following? Most large accounts follow very few people.

    2. I have been using FL for a couple of weeks, following + liking one day and unfollowing + liking the next day. Is there a disadvantage in doing that?

    3. I am finding that many people seem to be using apps like InsTrack (which I also use) because I see a number of them unfollowing shortly after I’ve unfollowed them. I know that everything is relative but what do you consider to be an expected/normal rate for this?

    4. People talk about using FL to get a large number of followers and then start growing organically. Again, everything is relative but, how does an account go from using FL to grow organically? Is it because people are supposedly more likely to follow large accounts?

    5. Sports, games, sex, fashion, cars are popular niches and I can see accounts grow rather fast in those niches but I am in arts. My work is very well received (90% of my non-ghost followers consistently like my posts), my actual numbers are 1750 followers, 900 ghosts, 400 top commenters, 350 likes per post on average.

It is a small account and I am using FL to try to get to 10K and then see it grow organically (if that’s really possible).

So far, the way I’ve been running FL, closely following your settings but unfollowing every other day, I’m getting 40 – 60 followings per day and an average of 8 unfollowings.

I was hoping to get at least 100 new followers per day (following followers of large accounts and liking photos in popular art tags) but it isn’t happening.

    6. I’ve been limiting FL to only follow accounts with less than 400 followers and less than 800 followings because when I left those settings unlimited FL was following a lot of very large accounts (who don’t follow back) and accounts who use bots who will unfollow when they reach the limit. The problem I’m having now is that I’m stuck following back a bunch of small accounts that seem to notice right away if I unfollow them.

Risto, thank you so very much for taking the time to read all this. I feel kind of out of place here because I’m not in this to make a social empire, I’m just trying to grow an account large enough so that I might eventually get noticed and funnel people to my online shop so that I can start selling my art.

    Very best regards,

    Emma

    1. Hi Emma,

      1. I’m not sure if you’re aware of this or not, so I’ll mention it. 7,500 is the maximum amount of users you can follow on Instagram. When you reach that limit you’ll have to be unfollowing in order to be able to follow again.

Many people who use bots also have multiple (or many) accounts. The goal of using bots is to automate the process as much as possible, so people usually follow up to 7,500 and then switch back to unfollowing so they don’t have to switch back and forth very often and waste time.

I don’t really see any benefit of doing that, except that it will save you time if you manage multiple (or many) accounts.

As for the question whether people will not follow you because of the amount of followings you have, I don’t think that’s true. The amount of people who will not follow you because of that reason is very low. I personally was skeptical about that at the beginning, but I decided to let it go and just do it and it turned out right for me at least. I was getting a decent amount of follow backs and I was happy with it.

      2. I don’t really think so. The only “disadvantage” I see here is that you might not be giving enough time to people to follow you back. I’m not exactly sure on this but if you give people 2-3 days to follow you back, it might increase the chances. Some people don’t log in every day.

      3. I can’t really tell you anything about this because I never really used any type of applications like that. But you’ll probably get a comment or two from time to time from people complaining about you unfollowing them which is nothing to worry about. I personally managed a LOT of accounts and unfollowed TONS of users and the amount of people who complained about it was EXTREMELY low. I wouldn’t even say 1%, probably a lot less than that. Worst thing that can happen is they’ll unfollow you, but even the amount of people who do that will be low, especially as your account grows bigger and bigger they’ll stick with you. The main thing is to have quality content on your account. I believe that is VERY important when people decide whether to follow you or unfollow you.

      4. The time you should stop FL (or any bot) is the time when your account starts getting new followers on its own. To get on this level, it takes some time. But it’s very doable. The main things you should pay attention to is the relationship between your fans and your content. Don’t get greedy and post something on your account that followers won’t like. Try to reply to their comments, but try to keep it simple. You can encourage them to share some of their pictures with you and in return you can post them on your account giving them a free shoutout. They might return the favor. You could also try to create your own hashtag. It might turn useful in the long term.

      5. Your stats are pretty good. However, don’t focus on the term “ghost follower”. People stop using their accounts after some time or they simply don’t like your posts, but keep following you. There’s nothing you can do about it. You should focus on content creation, being positive with your followers and growing bigger.

You could ask some questions in the captions of your uploads and get more feedback from your followers. Ask them what they would like to see on your account, painting or whatever. Learn from your mistakes and try to do better next time. But never argue with your followers, it’s wiser to ignore their complains (if they’re being rude or offensive) than argue with them. Don’t block them or remove their comments, unless it’s very rude or offensive. If they leave a negative feedback on your account, take it positively and tell them that you’re gonna try to do better next time.

      6. I think users with less than 400 followers are relatively new and just getting started, so they’re probably experimenting with a lot of stuff, such as “who unfollowed me” apps. You should maybe increase that limit, maybe 1,000-2,000 (if not more). I would agree with the followings limit (maybe a slight increase to 1,000 won’t be bad). Other than that, you’ll encounter people who unfollow you, but that’s fine. The bigger you get and the more people you follow, the more follow-backs you get.

The main thing about getting follow backs as I said above is your content and the source where you find the users. You should try to find users from sources in your niche. Also, you should try different sources and see if there is a difference in the quality of users.

While it’s not a bad idea to grow multiple accounts and funnel them all into your online shop (it takes more responsibilities and time), there’s nothing wrong with only one account either. Many people ask me everyday for help or tips about Instagram, but social media is very broad term and it’s really hard to tell anything. I can just give broad suggestions and you can try experimenting with them until you find the one that works the best for you.

I hope these answers help you with your Instagram journey and I wish you all the best.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  162. Thank you so very much, Risto, for taking the time to answer and for all the tips. It truly is a breath of fresh air to find people online as nice, respectful and helpful as you are. Much, much appreciated.

You said that you are working on your own app. If you think that it would work for me, please do let me know when you release it.

    All the very best,

    Emma

    1. Hi, again,

I just thought I’d add that it really is a lot of work to get even one IG account to grow steadily.

Before I installed FL I was spending over four hours a day liking, leaving good comments and replying to comments. Now, I post photos of my artwork. My paintings may take anywhere from 6 to 13 hours to finish and then I have a life to live :). So I installed FL thinking that it would cut IG time to about an hour or so a day.

Well, it hasn’t. FL is a buggy program and forces me to constantly tweak stuff. Sometimes it won’t unfollow, no matter what I try, until I delete my project and add it again as a new project, which means that now I’ve lost data (blacklist, etc.).

When I switch from unfollow to follow, I have to reenter data (tags, scrape settings).

And the wizard’s interface is so time consuming, forcing you to go through all the windows even if you only need to change one setting.

One thing that I realized after I read your reply to my first message, the other day: If, to save time, I set FL to like my follower’s photos, that would add hundreds if not thousands of photos to the daily limit. I guess what I’m saying is that a bot should have more options, such as “don’t like accounts who never like” or a database of favourite accounts and a setting such as “always like photos of favourite followers”.

And I’ll leave you with this: I wish I could understand why, on a daily bases, a number of people would go through my gallery and like 90% of my photos and still won’t follow. 8^|

      Many, many thanks, again.

      Emma

      1. Hi,

Yes, I totally agree. Getting one account to grow steadily is pretty much as hard as getting multiple (or many) accounts growing steadily.

I agree that FL is buggy as well. It’s been said many times and brought to developer’s attention, but they don’t seem to agree with that. They always say it’s working fine. To prevent losses, you should have a backup and when you create a new project, you could just import the data.

I agree with the FL’s interface as well. It’s very not user-friendly and takes time to navigate and do stuff. I’m sure they could make it way better, but I doubt they will anytime soon.

As for why people like your photos and not following you, I don’t really know, but I think that happens often. There could be many reasons, such as maybe they found one of your photos through hashtags and liked the other ones too. Or they are bots as well. Not really sure because I don’t really check such activities on my account(s).

        Best regards,
        Risto

    2. Hi,

I was planning on making an Instagram bot, that would fix all the issues FL has and a lot more new features, but it’ll take a while to make it. I will make a post on my blog when it’s ready.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. I hope you will be able to finish it because I’m sure it will rock and, even if by then my account grew to the size I wanted, I would still buy your app because I’m sure it will come with the features needed to properly maintain our account(s).

And I am also sure that Instagram itself would be more than glad to see people finally using a bot with comprehensive features which alleviate the massive loads their servers deal with.

I don’t know how many of their 400 million accounts use bots but it seems quite possible that, at least, a good fourth of those accounts belong to people with multiple accounts such as yourself. Before I found your blog I spent a bit of time browsing the BHW and some of the people who post there do more harm than good, encouraging new users to push the limits.

Thanks, again, for all the help (I made the changes you suggested and immediately saw much better results). I’ll keep checking your blog.

        Take good care, Risto. 🙂

        Emma

        1. Hi Emma,

The reason why people push the limits most of the times is because they don’t really care about their accounts. Surely some people want to grow faster, but most of them are just spamming and abusing the limits as much as they can so they reach to as many people as possible in the shortest possible time. They do this with a LOT of accounts. It’s a common “churn and burn” strategy. You make accounts, start pushing the limits while your account is promoting your website/product and after some time you get banned. You repeat the process.

Nice! That’s great to hear. Keep it up and I’m sure one day you’ll be big on Instagram. It’s only a matter of time. 🙂

          Best regards,
          Risto

  163. I want to target people who like certain pics & videos to have their recent pic(s) liked. I know I have to use FLC and I saw it explained in a comment before but I cant find it now.

    1. Hi,

I’m not 100% sure whether this is a correct, but I think you want to scrape “Users Who Liked” with “FLC:” in front of it. And then tick “Like” without “Follow”.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  164. Hi risto,
I’m want to buy followliker and I really like to run it on my pc.
In my country buy server or vps is really difficult and complicated process and price go extremely high and I don’t want go this way.
unfortunately here best home speed connection is only around 30 mbps.
    the question is :
    1) Is this possible to run 1000 account with a ~30mbps internet connection (24/7) ?
    2) how much account can run simultaneously (account threads) ?

    thank you very much.

    1. Hi,

You could buy a VPS or server from a company in another country. There’s plenty of them. The prices are the same for everyone.

      1) Running 1,000 accounts with FL is a very hard task, because the software itself is not optimized for that many accounts. But I would say 30Mbps would be enough to run it (considering you’re not doing anything else).
      2) That I can’t tell. As I said, FL is not designed to run with that many accounts simultaneously. You’ll have to make multiple projects each with a portion of accounts.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Thank you very much for detailed answer.
        one more question :
In my country price for bandwidth data usage is very high,
For 1000 account how much internet traffic used in a month of full botting ?

        1. Hi,

It’s very hard to tell that. But it shouldn’t be too much anyway. Bots like FL use the API and the pages are very small and only contain JSON data in them. So overall, it shouldn’t be much. But I can’t tell you any numbers, sorry about that.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  165. Hi Risto – – Thank you for your tutorial. It has been a great help. There is just one thing I am struggling with and it does not seem to be a common question. I want to do two things:

    1) Follow all followers of USER X

    2) Send a Direct Message to users who follow our account

I set up 2 queries – one to scrape users who follow USER X and two to scrape users who follow our account

When I run the task – it has been sending DMs to users who follow USER X. Not what I intend. I tried right-clicking and selecting new from the main window, but I got an error that I only have a license for one account. I only need to use one account – does that mean I can only set up one task? Or is there another way to automate multiple tasks that rely on different queries?

P.S. – I also tried starting a new instance of FL and got a similar License error 🙁

    1. Hi,

If you have purchased one account license you won’t be able to add more than one account in FL. You have to remove the account first to add a new one.

      As for your questions:
      1. Select “User’s Followers” and simply type the username.
      2. You should read the bottom of the guide where I explain the DM function of FL.

Basically, you have to enable “retrieve existing followers and followings” so that FL will scrape your followers and following and from there it will also send DMs as well. Don’t check the “Mail only scraped users”.

  166. When FL goes into unfollow cycle it runs slow because my white list has 300 to 999 user names. How do I fix this?

I manage about 20 client instagrams and its not happening on all of them, just some and I can’t figure out why

    1. Hi,

Try not to have too many users on your whitelist. Every time follow has to unfollow someone it has to check whether the username matches any of the users in the whitelist. If you unfollow a lot of people, FL has to do that a lot of times and if you run multiple accounts, even more.

  167. Im wondering about FollowLiker functions for Twitter. I would like to announce my new followers weekly, is there a way to do this with followliker?

    1. Hi,

You can see the functions on followliker.com. If you are asking whether FollowLiker Twitter can post tweets, then yes. It can.

  168. Hey Risto,

I’m currently stuck on FLC a little bit. I’m probably overlooking something or am trying it the hard way. 🙂
Is there anyway to setup FLC from a specific scraped users list? (unchecked scrape users in settings, as I’ve already scraped and filtered the users I want with your tool <3 )
Or is there a "manual" setup for FL which could simulate this?

    FYI:
It's for an aged account with high traffic over years now. So higher limits or shorter delays won't affect it that much.

Do you have any idea how to set this up?

    Best regards
    Jay

    1. Hi Jay,

You can just import the users as “scraped users”. Then create a new file to import for “scrape photos” by adding “FLC:” in front of each username and saving it as “user’s photo” query.

  169. Risto, this is Awesome. I have shared it with my team as the #1 goto tutorial for FL

My question: I’m getting traffic by following users followers in my niche (make money online). I also am liking photos to hopefully get more eyeballs on my profile

with the photos that I am liking, I have the query type match to “relevant”… and I am using keywords like success, money, business, entrepreneur, online

however I can’t figure out who’s photos I’m liking. Is it the photos of the user, or is it the photo of users followers?

Many thanks in advance for your help and if there is anything I can do to share your content please let me know

    Gregg

    1. Hi,

It’s liking photos based on that keyword. Not user’s photos, not user’s followers’ photo. It basically will search for that particular keyword and like the photos that Instagram returns. Make sure you have each keyword as a different query.

  170. Risto,

Hi, I am having problems with my account being temporarily suspended? Does that mean I am following too many ppl daily?

Do you have any new and current settings to stop FL from causing my account to lock?
Currently I can’t follow anymore ppl until Friday.

The account is fairly new, less than 500 followers.

    1. Hi,

It could be that you are pushing the limits too fast. When you get temporary blocked, you should stop botting on the account for a while. I’d say 24-48 hours. Give it a rest and then start again but with slower/smaller settings.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  171. Hi Risto! I want to share my formula of liking and would like to get your thoughts on it maybe i am doing it to slow.

So basically what i am doing is getting one users followers and liking the last three photos of each of those followers. So i get one account i open each follower and like their last three photos.

The time delay between photo to photo like is from 30sec to 50sec.
And after the three photos are liked, FollowLiker starts the automation again with a delay of 40sec to 60sec.

As i have estimated there is approximately 1 like per minute.

Lately is not doing so well.

Do you think i should remove the delay on the schedule automation? And maybe increase a little bit the photo to photo delay?

    Waiting your thoughts on this.

Thanks again, and i really appreciate you answering all the comments. You Rock!

    1. Hi Loqka,

What exactly is not going well? FollowLiker not doing its tasks? Maybe it has scraped a LOT of users, you should check it out, sometimes it bugs out.

Other than that, you could lower your delays a little bit. You should be fine.

      Best regards,
      Risto

      1. Hi Risto thanks for your response.

Before with the same method i was gaining 60-100 followers per day now i barely gain 60

What might have happen? Have i been flagged?

        1. Hi,

I doubt it. Make sure the users you follow/like are freshly scraped and not from days ago.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  172. Thank you for the awesome tutorial! May I ask two following questions?

1)When I use share photo function, why the photo uploaded to my account doesn’t show on instagram tag feed?

2)Is there any easy way to follow users who like/comment on certain user’s photo by certain user’s username? For example, can I just input an username, the FL will scrape user’s photo feeds, then scrape users who like/comment on these photos, then follow/like these users?

    Thank you.

    1. Hi,

      1) It’s an issue with the API of Instagram. First of all, Instagram doesn’t have functionalities for developers to upload photos. FollowLiker and other bots have cracked the application and are replicating what the app does in order to upload a photo. Hence, there might be some parameters missing that cause this.

      2) I think that’s not possible in FollowLiker as far as I know. Might be wrong though.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  173. Hi, First, thank you for this amazing tutorial! Really great work.

I have over 10k followers and I am using FL, wanted to know how can I avoid following people who already follow me? tried various things but does not seem to be working.

    1. Hi,

You should add people in the blacklist after unfollowing them. That way, FL will never follow them again.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  174. Sorry if this is a stupid question. But after setting everything up do you have to have your internet on for it to run? Or can you shutdown your computer and let it run automatically?
I’ve used instagress before and they didn’t require you to be online.
    Thanks.

    1. Hi,

Yes, you have to have Internet connection and keep your computer on to use FL. Instagress is different, it’s a SaaS. If you look further, there is still Internet connection and a computer running somewhere in the world, except that Instagress does that for you, rather than yourself.

  175. Hello Risto. I have used FL version of Twitter for several weeks and i have noticed that the Follower conversion is veeery low compared to Instagram version. Right now im running 2 accounts and im getting 21 followers per day vs 80-100 followers im getting in instagram per account. I dont know if its a normal performance in Twitter or maybe its a configuration issue

    1. Hi,

The follow-back depends on many factors. I’m not sure whether follow-back on Twitter has lower rate than it has on Instagram, but it also depends how many people you follow, on your sources from where you scrape users and so on.

      Best regards,

  176. Hello there Risto, i’d like to ask about phone verify.

it’s been 1 or 2 weeks i don’t if it’s a new algorhytm from Instagram or not, everytime i put some new accounts on FL (i’m using global wizard) it’s always get Phone Verification, this will happen twice… FIRST phone verification, when i hit the START button (FYI : the accounts were fresh and new but i have put the accounts about 2 or 3 days not doing anything after the accounts created)… SECOND phone verification, this will happen after few minutes running on FL about 2 – 5 minutes running. I really confused, do you have any suggestion to avoid accounts keep getting Phone verification ? please help Risto, since you are the expert and reliable source 🙂

    FYI : I’m using 3 accounts per 1 proxy

    1. Oh one more Risto, can you tell me the safest way to avoid banned / phone verification when starting on FL and creating a fresh new instagram account ?

      Best regards
Jordy, a big fan of Risto ..

      1. Hi,

Avoiding phone verification is really hard, because I’m pretty sure Instagram will ask for it on 99% of the accounts at some point. As for avoiding bans, as long as you are not spamming, putting a website URL immediately, or using bots aggressively you should be fine.

        Best regards,
        Risto

        1. Hello Risto, thanks for replying

My accounts doesn’t contain any link on Bio, it’s totally natural but the Phone Verification keep coming to my accounts. I’m interested buying your account creator product I’d like to ask about your Instagram account creator, first how many accounts should be used on 1 proxy on it to make the accounts safe ? since i will be needed to reserve some proxy to create instagram accounts on the software right ?

Oh yes, how many days should i put the account before running on FL after fresh creating account ?

thanks before, i hope you understand my language

          1. Hi,

My account creator doesn’t bypass PVA. As for how many accounts per 1 proxy, I personally have used 3 always, but I’ve seen people using 5 or more. You don’t necessary need proxies, you could use your own IP address as well. Or even public proxies, if you’re creating churn and burn accounts.

You could put the accounts on FL since the first day, but with less aggressive settings, to warm them up. After a few days (~week) you can increase it.

            Best regards,
            Risto

    2. Hi Jordy,

That’s really weird. It’s hard to tell what the issue is here, because there are too many factors involved. It could be your phone numbers that you use the first time are faulty hence Instagram asks for another verification. It could be FollowLiker triggering the phone verification as well. It could be your proxies as well. You should document everything you do and keep trying until you find what is the problem.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  177. Hi Risto,

Can you run FollowLiker (Twitter & Instagram) and still use both apps manually on your phone, while FollowLiker is running in the background?

    Thanks,

    Patrick

    1. Hi,

Yes, you can. But I wouldn’t recommend also doing a lot of likes/follow etc on your phone while doing it with your bot.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  178. Hi Risto,

Thanks a lot for your comprehensive review! It is very helpful!

You mentioned that you had the best result when scrape users who like/comment a post. I would like to try to follow users who like/comment a post, and meanwhile, like their latest 3 posts.

    1. So when you scrape users who like/comment a post, do you also like photos who you just followed.

    2. When you updated queries regularly, do you also reset the whole setting as well? Because, I realized that when I was testing different settings, I always need to create a new project, otherwise the numbers grow slower and slower. Why is that happen?

    3. So my setting is like this. Select “scrape user”, “scrape photo”, “follow”, and “like”. Then in “scrape user setting”, choose “users who liked/commented”, and insert the photo ID # as Query. In “scrape photo settings”, set choose “scrape photo limit” to 3, because I’d like to like their most recent 3 posts, and chose “relevant” and insert “FLC” as query. Do you have any comments?

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Hi,

      1. As I said in the guide, liking people’s posts after following them is like icing on the cake. It’s a good way to increase your chances of getting noticed by them and followed back.

      2. You should just update the queries. Remove the old ones, as FL will attempt to scrape users off them and fail (since it already scraped all of them). Then add the new ones and that’s it.

      3. No comments, it’s a very common method if not the most common what you’re doing. And it does have results if you target the right audience.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  179. Hey Risto,

Awesome tutorial. Could you explain this more clearly:

Don’t follow and unfollow at the same time
I personally don’t follow and unfollow at the same time, because I have had some issues with temporary bans before. Every time I started to unfollow, I would get temporary blocked from following, so I decided not to follow anymore during unfollowing and it’s been OK. However, I’ve seen people who do both at the same time and don’t have any problems, so if you could do that, then it’s better for you!

Does this not matter if my “Unfollow After” setting is set to for example 3 days. So in the Task Selection menu I can check both Follow and Unfollow?

    1. Hi,

It doesn’t matter if you’re unfollowing people after 3 days or instantly, my point was not to do it at the same time. Basically when you’re following, you shouldn’t be unfollowing. Basically not to use these 2 tasks simultaneously. Even if you’re unfollowing after 3 days, the 3rd (or 4th) day you’ll get to a point where you’ll be constantly unfollowing (and following if you choose to). That’s what I wasn’t recommending in that sentence. But if you find the perfect balance of values and it works for you, you could do it. I’ve seen people do both and have no issues, although I can’t say the same about me.

  180. HI Rista.

What happens if I use phone verified account with follow liker and instagram asks for phone verification randomly while I use proxy ….is that happened for you?

    1. Hi,

Phone verifications are going to happen. It’s normal on Instagram. You can’t avoid them, you should just do them and eventually Instagram will get their confirmation that it’s you controlling the account and leave you in peace.

      Best regards,

    1. Hi,

Assuming it’s a server running on Windows, the same usual way as you would on your computer.

  181. It might be a stupid question. But I am not sure what “retrieve existing followers and followings” actually mean.
Why can’t it be set higher than 100? I mean the numeric part is not clear to me.

    Thank you!

    1. Hi,

Because you don’t really have to. That option will retrieve (scrape) your existing followers and followings. Basically, it will scrape the people you are following and people who are following you.

For example, if you haven’t used FL before and want to start off with unfollowing, FL doesn’t know which users to unfollow, so it will retrieve your existing followings first and then start unfollowing.

  182. Your tutorial is very useful. I just have one question:
how to target accounts with “hashtag + location” or ” hashtag + hashtag” in FL. Instagress has that function.
For example, I wanna like pics which has location in USA and has hashtag #bulldog or like pic with 2 hashtag: #bulldogs + # mommy . How to do that with FL?
    Thanks a lot. 😀

    1. Hi,

You can’t target a hashtag and location at the same time. It has to be either hashtag or location. Unfortunately FL doesn’t support this.

      Best regards,
      Risto

        1. Hi,

You’re right, this could be a very handy feature, but I honestly don’t see it being implemented anytime soon in FL.

          Best regards,
          Risto

  183. Very usefull tutorial, i’m completly new to the FL and i’m trying to grow a test account with a geo target in Italy, but the growth seems to be really slow to me (80 followers on 550 following in 24 hours) and a good 30-40% of the followers aren’t italian, how can i focus my target on a specific country ad speed up the growth?

    1. Hi,

If you want laser targeted followers you shouldn’t expect a high follow-back rate in my opinion. As for the nationality, I think it’s not easy to target on Instagram, your best bet is locations, but even they are not precise.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  184. I need help with commenting

I have a custom list of 500 very large accounts(200k to 5m) and I want to scrape their most recent pic or video and put a comment on it.

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/2lf0lk93fy3912a/FL%20comment%20settings.jpg?dl=0

    Scrape user (not used)

    Scrape Photo
    Scrape photo limit 1
    Scrape only top result
    Query: Custom list of accounts
    Query type: User Photo

    Comment Limit: 3 to 6
    Comment Limit: 111 to 133
Delay between comment: 60 to 180

Global delay: 4 to 10 minutes

My problem is it scapes and comments one page, leaves the comment then goes to global delay only. It is not doing burst of 3 to 6 comments with short interval in between.

    Goal:
Scrape 1 pic/video from each user
    most recent pic video

    Comment on 3 to 6
    1 comment every 60 to 180 seconds

Global delay 4 to 10 minutes

    Repeat

    1. Hi,

I think that can’t be solved. It’s not really a problem in my opinion. That’s how it’s supposed to work. In “Scrape Photo” you have limit of 1. So it will only scrape 1 photo. And then in comment, it will comment on that photo and there’s no more photos left to comment, so it will finish the comment task.

In order to “fix” this I think you’ll have to use the global delay as a comment delay. If you have other accounts in the project, then create a new project for this task only.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  185. Hi, this guide it’s really helpful for me that i’m completly new to this software, i’m running right now 4 accounts so i want to put two on them on a proxy, i’ve bought a proxy from proxy-n-vpn and i’ve added to my panel with the scheme 127.0.0.1:80:prxusername1:prxpassword1

But when the system try to log into the proxy it fail to login.

I’ve tried to contact followliker and they have sent me to proxy-n-vpn, then proxy-n-vpn has said that i must contact followliker since the problem it’s in the feature of the software, so i don’t know how to resolve this, can you help me?

    1. Hi,

Make sure that the proxies work in your browser first of all. Also, make sure that the authorization method in your panel is set to user/pass, not IP auth.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  186. Hey man I’m having great success with followliker and your guide has been my go to for any troubles I have had,, but I am having a big problem running more than one followliker. It seems when I do, it automatically overwrites the other project on the first followliker. Is their something that i must be doing Wrong?

    thanks alot!

    1. Hi,

You should create another project for each instance if you don’t want FL to overwrite the other projects.

      Best regards,

  187. Risto,
your tutorial is really great. Im new to the program and everything that comes with it. My question is… What kind of proxy do i need to purchase? I went to the site that you recommended, and there are several options, such as instagram proxy, private proxy, etc… do i need to use an instagram proxy? Also, can you recommend a specific VPS? I’m looking for an inexpensive VPS but id like to know which is the most affordable that will still be sufficient. I am running FL on a macbook pro… Thank you in advance, you are very helpful…

    Edward

    1. Hi Edward,

You should most likely buy an Instagram proxy. Most of the websites who offer one only allow you to Instagram with their Instagram proxies. You don’t necessary need a proxy for Instagram, it’s only recommended to use proxies when you have more than 3-5 accounts. When you’re just starting, you could do it without proxy as well. Check the recommendations on my blog for VPS, I believe both sites offer relatively cheap VPS with pretty good setup.

      Best regards,
      Risto

  188. hi Risto,
it seems have some limitation when scrape and like users who likes a photo?
as i put a pic link that has about 33K likes and about 2 days later, the followerlikes log showed that you’ve precious like this photo.

    any ideas?

    thx.

    1. Hi,

You can’t scrape all people who liked a photo. I think the limit is something like ~1,000.

      Best regards,
      Risto
